Been looking at some of the year end album polls and couldnt believe that Reflektor got left off all of them. Had to check Wikipedia to see the release date. Honestly thought the album came out this year. Doh!

Honestly thought the album came out this year. Doh! Yeah, came out late October 2013. If it makes you feel any better they are nominated for best alternative rock album at the Grammys this year. Go AF!

I saw that tweet too late but I really don't need to see him in front of a laptop playing cub music.

A cool interview with Tim Kingsbury that ill never seen before. It's probably a couple months old from the Reflektor Tour. Enjoy.

I think Reflektor moved to the top of my AF list. It's easily the one I listen to the most . There is so much going on in that album. Regine never sounded better and besides flashbulb eyes there isn't a weak track on the album.

Reflector seems to be the most divisive AF record yet, some can't get to grasps with it, certainly those who I talk to.
I love it - not as much as Funeral or The Suburbs - but I definitely find it the most rewarding of albums in that, due to its expansive nature, you're always finding little new things to love in it, at least for me.

The only dud for me is Flashbulb Eyes. I said it when it leaked in October 2013 and I'll say it today in January 2015. It slows down the record in my opinion off a brilliant opening song in Reflektor. I love the variety of the album on a whole. I can't even imagine where this band goes next. Part of me wants even more electronic elements added like in Afterlife, Reflektor and Supersymmetry. Then another part of me is in awe of the hard rock of Normal Person. Keep on chugging Arcade Fire.

I just bought the album, having never heard an Arcade Fire song before, not knowing what to expect. I think the album is great, although I've only listened to it once. I love the packaging as well.

Still think this record is a bit messy and overwrought.
There's a lot of dope idea's and tracks on there with Relektor,Here Comes the Night Time, It's Never Over (Oh Orpheus), We Exist and Porno. Got some solid, if a bit lackadaisical typical arcade fire songs You Already Know, Afterlife, Normal Person.
It's just one of those records that seems so heavy, long, and emotionally draining that I can't really love it or really like it all that much, but I admire the evolution. Its not a bad record per say, but no where near being a great, in my opinion.
Funeral and The Suburbs continue to be two of my favorite records of the 00's, but when arcade fire gets a little to self serious or heavy I just can't get into them as much, aka: Neon Bible and about half of Reflektor).
Like to hear why you guys like so much it? Get a fun dialog going.
