At first listen, the record is 8/10 or 9/10 for me. Really exciting and much much much more intersting and better than DGSS !

I'd say right now for me it's great, and definitely better than DGSS. I enjoy listening to this album more because of the production on here, DGSS' production gave me a headache sometimes. I think the songs are a bit stronger this time around and are much more rounded and natural sounding.

By the way, Iz rite should be the next single; Perfect summer and festival tune !

Really like it. The only songs I'm not that fussed about are Second Bite of The Apple and Ballroom Figured. Start Anew gave me goosebumps - can't give it higher praise than that.

To anyone interested in this, I'm currently working on my initial BE review. It will be in depth, 2 listens through and I'm writing about each song as it plays, so I get that in the moment feel for it.
All objective of course.

7-8, it's so far superior to DGSS. I wish this was their debut (imagine if it was) instead of their evidently rushed first album....

just downloaded the good quality leak, will listen to it later. so far only heard FOTF, SBOTA, IR, and SL. can't wait to hear the rest loving it so far Also a positive is Black Sabbath's album leaked more than 10 days ago, so hopefully the fact BE only leaked last night (in good quality) won't have as much of an impact as people thought.

This could of been an oasis album in my opinion I was worried there was going to be too many songs that were repetitive but I was fortunately proved wrong, feels like a don't believe the truth/dig out your soul hybrid (don't believe your soul)

Well I've listened to the album 2 times through now, 1 to 11.
I've got the 320 rip, which is probably close to what the
deluxe quality will sound like when I get it on the 10th.
Anyways... Here is my initial review, which all bias aside,
I'll be objective. I'm sure all this will change over the
next several weeks. This is my "BE Reaction".
Flick of the Finger
4/10, It works as an opener to the album, it might sound good
live, but it's just kinda bland to me. I'm talking in context
that I do like this tune alright and all, but it isn't that
good. Like I said, works well as a intro/opener to this album
though. So it has a place.
Soul Love
5.5/10, Good little tune, not too impressive. It's polite and
is steady and pushes through. Not a skipper song at all, I
can listen to this one through, I like it quite well. Screams
delicate.
Face the Crowd
5/10, Clearly a DGSS leftover track. Sounds very similar to
the solid debut released in 2011. Not a bad tune, just
straightforward, in your face, but something we've heard
before. Less interesting than Soul Love, but slightly better
than FOTF. Just very much basic rock track for me.
Second Bite of the Apple (First Single)
6.5/10, A lot of people are on this song, I mean, it's
different you know? It definitely is something we've never
heard from Oasis/Noel/Beady Eye before. The biggest thing for
this track for me, is that it's fresh. I do very much
appreciate them pushing this as the first single. It's
different. Nothing else out there on radio like this. I'm not
sure how accurate this is but it's only peaked at 112 in the
UK. Very sad. It's a good tune for sure. Fresh is the word
for this. Is this a good first single? Probably not as far as
success is going to go, the world today isn't ready for a
track like this. I must say the lyrics are somewhat overdone
and too linear.
Soon Come Tomorrow
7/10, Our first real "single" song on the album. SBOTA, like
I said, is a good tune, just too different for today's
market, but BE liked it as a single, so I respect that. This
song, SCT, is much better as a single to me. Slow paced,
catchy lyrics, wanes for the past and future. I like the solo
towards the end. Very well done, sounds like something from
SOTSOG or something.
Iz Rite
6/10, Definitely a 60s era feel to it or something. Similair
to the first album, but different enough to be good. It's got
a summer feel to it for sure. I hate the moronic spelling "Iz
Rite"? Are we stupid? For what it is, it's a pleasing song,
very solid.
I'm Just Saying
7.5/10, Oasis' lost track lol. Very good, sounds like a
hidden track Liam found deep deep in the vaults in a demo
form from WTSMG sessions or something. Regardless, it's
great. Catchy, lyrics are good, Liam's voice sounds amazing
on this one. This is a potential single track. Reminds me
much of "Hello" or "Roll With It".
Don't Brother Me
7/10, This song got a little bit of hype as it's obviously
about Noel. It's not a bad tune, drags on for too long
though. I do appreciate the epic part of that though. While
he takes a couple shots at Noel (part about gun and #1 and
the sun), he does extend an olive branch, and seems like he
misses his brother and Oasis. A sad song, but one of the
better songs lyrically at least. "Take my hand, be a man".
Shine A Light
7/10, Good track, has some neat effects in there. Sounds like
trance or something lol. I like the lyrics a lot. It it a
calming song for me. I like the change of pace mid way
through, where it slows down a bit. One of Liam's best
vocals. The drums are fantastic. Drives the song.
Ballroom Figured
9/10, Elegant, simple, charming, and overall amazing. Liam's
best vocal since Be Here Now. The vocals are just lock down,
the guitar, while being simple and easy is amazing, but
that's the whole thing, it is supposed to be this clean and
simple. The lyrics are very touching, very well sung. Sure it
may come off plain, and boring to some of you, but if you
look at this song for what it is, you'll see hopefully.
Easily Beady Eye's best acoustic style song they've done,
Liam's best vocal, and possibly the best written song. They
should release this as the last single from the album. It
would be a great last single, do a black and white video with
it, and use flashes and blurrs to show Liam in a room with
Gem. Would be classic. Better than any song on DGSS, or as
good as Morning Son at least.
Start Anew
8.5/10, Everyone is really on this song. From what I've read,
it's well loved. I agree. It's as good as Ballroom Fig., but
it gets a lower rating from me just because it isn't as well
written, it's more interesting because of the strings in
there, and it's a great song. Love the drums. This song
sounds like something from Heathen Chemistry era. And that's
a good thing. Also, it seems it drags just a tad, but I like
long songs. Most won't like that I don't think. While it
drams a little towards the end, it still in a weird way
leaves you wanting more. Maybe that is because it's the album
closer. I don't know. Regardless, this is a single for sure.
It has to be right?
BE, 7.5/10
It's better than the debut from Beady, for sure. It ISN'T as
good as Noel's debut for those that care.
It is a true rock record, chilled mostly, yet different.
This is a different kind of record. For 11 tracks, I'm happy
with this. I can't wait to hear the other 4 from the deluxe.
Hope you liked my review.

Hell of a lot better than the *fucking awful* Different Gear. Great -- FOTF (the quote bit is pointless though and gets skipped every time), Soul Love, Ballroom Figured, I'm Just Saying Decent -- Second Bite, Shine a Light (filler), Don't Brother Me (the 3 minute outro is pointless) Start Anew, Soon Come Tomorrow Crap -- Face the Crowd (this album's Meaning of Soul/Ain't Got Nothin'), Iz Rite I'm Just Saying is really fun, it recalls the vintage Noel Gallagher 94-97 guitar sound. Ballroom Figured has a significantly better melody than the other acousticy tracks (Start Anew, Don't Brother Me, Soon Come Tomorrow), it's reminiscent of Heart of a Star. Let's stop calling it 'experimental' now btw, there's nothing vaguely experimental about it. 7/10 Just need Liam to tone down his wankerishness and it's all good.

Weakest songs: SBOTA and Shine A Light (although I love Shine A Light's intro - sounds like the intro to 20s horror movie or something, well liking it).
Best songs (so far): Soon Come Tomorrow, I'm Just Saying and Start Anew.

Average at best. Couple of cracking songs like Start Anew and FOTF some cringeworthy like DBM. The album will fade into oblivion in a few months. Have to say though, cracking production. Overall 5/10.

just downloaded the good quality leak, will listen to it later. so far only heard FOTF, SBOTA, IR, and SL. can't wait to hear the rest loving it so far Also a positive is Black Sabbath's album leaked more than 10 days ago, so hopefully the fact BE only leaked last night (in good quality) won't have as much of an impact as people thought.
