Average at best. Couple of cracking songs like Start Anew and FOTF some cringeworthy like DBM. The album will fade into oblivion in a few months. Have to say though, cracking production. Overall 5/10. I beg to differ.

As it is now I put it firmly at an 8, I'm even liking "Face The Crowd" and so far the only one i'm not feeling is Soul Love. May change in the future but at the moment its a great album.

Though I've only listened to it straight through a couple times, I'd probably give it 7/10 right now... For the record, I'd give NGHFB 7.5/10 and DGSS 5/10.
Even though I prefer NGHFB, I definitely find it easier to listen to BE straight through. NGHFB starts to feel plodding after a while, and the production makes my ears bleed. I still prefer the songs on it though.
My favorite tracks right now are FOTF, Soon Comes Tomorrow, Soul Love, and Iz Rite. I'm also really liking the ambient outros on a few tracks. I guess I'm an exception, as my least favorite tracks right now are I'm Just Saying and Start Anew.

After DGSS I was very sceptic about LAG`s output.
But BE turns out to be a good album. With some highs and some lows. But it`s overall a good effort. 6/10 if it wears off with the time or 7/10 if it grows.
Best thing about BE: There are no songs that are as unlistenable as some songs from DGSS and they went for the right direction. Definitely a step forward as a band! That`s what I was hoping for. Production is nice. A couple of great ideas by the band and Sitek. Liams voice is great at times but sometimes I don´t like the style he`s singing/the rythm of his singing-->lyrics) Not as much rocking tunes as I hoped for. But these tunes will sound good live.
great- Flick Of The Finger, Soul Love, I`m Just Saying, Start Anew (8/10s) Best thing about this: Each of these songs are totally different!
The rest is ok which sounds a bit underwhelming. The first 40seconds of Iz Rite are shocking though. Don´t like the melody and Liams singing. Same goes for Soon Comes Tomorrow. Don`t get the love for it..The melody and Liams singing ruin the first half for me. Would skip, wich is a shame because the second half is quite nice.
FOTF 8/10 SL 8/10 FTC 6/10 SBOTA 6/10 SCT 5/10 IR 5/10 IJS 8/10 DBM 7/10 SAL 6/10 BF 5/10 SA 8/10
total 6.5/10

FOTF 8/10 SL 7/10 FTC 3/10 SBOTA 4/10 SCT 8/10 IR 4/10 IJS 7.5/10 DBM 5/10 SAL 7/10 BF 4/10 SA 7.5/10 Great Start Anew, Flick of the Finger, Soon Comes Tomorrow Good Soul Love, Shine a Light, I'm Just Saying, The no so good Don't Brother Me, Second Bite of the Apple, Ballroom Figured, Face the Crowd, Iz Right The actual ratings average out to around 6/10. But I think I'd give it a 6.5/10. There are definitely some tunes that I'll be skipping here but there are also a few that will stay with me. 3 off this record as opposed to only 2 off DGSS (FLW, Wigwam...although come to think of it I still have a soft spot for TMS). Disappointed there is no rocker the quality of FLW on here for me. Flick of the Finger is the one that comes closest They excelled at creating atmosphere on the slower tunes but the rockers lacked that...ended up just feeling a bit "by-the-numbers"

I've got plenty of criticisms but all in all it's very good. Those three songs in the middle are fantastic.

I'd say it's half a great record, half a good one.

Just a few complete listens now and it is amazing. Love the songs, love the sounds. Probably still no big standouts for me, that takes some time to focus on each song individually, but no weak tracks either. Even Face The Crowd or Shine A Light (which one could argue are the closest to Ain't Got Nothing/Standing on the Edge of the Noise) have something that draws me back to listen to them again.
Great album, proud of the boys and what they have accomplished with this record, I hope it gets the recognition it deserves and fuels them towards making more of this great music.

People are moaning about everything on here!the craftmanship is top notch and the tunes are there just give them a chance Come on now....give peace a chance....take my hand....be a man.Ha, what d'ya know? Lennon2217 is making another one of his half-trite, half-serious (but all hackneyed) lyrical nit-picking half-slight!! And not only does said half-slight picks nit, if you will, it also comes with its own accompanying pictorial upshot! This guy-- he's a champion of chance and circumstance, isn't he?!

Thinking they should've ditched Face The Crowd and Shine A Light. They just sound too generic and by-the-numbers and are obviously only on there to balance it out. I don't think they add anything to the album and I would've liked to have seen two other atmospheric tunes on there in their place like Off at the Next Exit and something else. I'm Just Saying is great though so no problem there

It's good. How good, I don't know yet. There are some absolute amazing songs on it, and the production makes even the lesser songs sound good (Shine a light, Soul Love, Face the Crowd (however not that one, really disliking this one, the bridge/middle 8 sounds something from the offspring or Sum41 or something like that...). From what we've heard from the bonus tracks it is an absolute travesty they didn't include these on the album. Probably because they wanted enough rockers on the album... Understandable, but still a shame... 7/10 for me, we'll see if it goes up or down. (DGSS was also a 7/10 when I first heard it, that became a 6/10 hopefully this one will grow on me! It hink it will...) Oh, and I actually like SBOTA But replace FTC with "Off at the next exit" and you've got a better album for it imho..

Really impressed with that on first listen. Way exceeded my expectations. Not going to give ratings after one listen but I really like Soul Love and Start Anew. I do think it trails off a bit towards the end but it's a very good effort all things considered

I missed the leak last night, was out and been busy all day, only listened to the album through three times but here are my early ratings:
Flick Of The Finger - 9/10 Soul Love - 7.5/10 Face The Crowd - 7.5/10 Second Bite Of The Apple - 7.5/10 Soon Come Tomorrow - 9/10 Iz Rite - 7.5/10 I'm Just Saying - 8.5/10 Don't Brother Me - 8/10 Shine A Light - 7/10 Ballroom Figured - 7/10 Start Anew - 9/10
Really really good album, I actually like every song, it's a huge step forward from DGSS.
They've pulled it off big time.

Some people need to take the blinkers off! I understand everyone has different opinions which is fair enough but some people givin' it 9/10 are laughable. Definitely Maybe, WTSMG are to me 10/10 so to say this is a 9 is fuckin' laughable. This is only my opinion of course.

Just because the first 2 Oasis albums are 10/10 to you doesn't mean that someone else has to follow your scoring and opinion.
