First of all, sorry its in the wrong forum.
But why do so many people seem to hate Liam?
He does come off as arrogant, and passes comments which some people find annoying but he is imo one of the greatest, and my favourite frontman of all time. He has all the qualities of a top frontman: style, attitude, voice etc..
I'm hoping his new album gets good reviews, he deserves it.

A mixture of reasons from the haters:
1. His vocal change over the years 2. Noel made the success of oasis not Liam 3. Liams songwriting ability is rubbish
blah blah blah the list goes on, essentially liam cant do no right and Noel can do no wrong (they are both talented singers etc but liam doesn't get nearly enough credit). The sad thing is even if this album is amazing, not enough people know who beady are to get the album sales.

I think a lot of people believe that the way Liam's presented in the press is how he behaves away from the cameras. Everyone who's met him says he's a lovely bloke and he is a legend of rock and roll imo, a great frontman and a great character. Sure he can be infuriating at times, eg. terrible live performances, moody interviews and just making an arse out of himself but he definitely doesn't deserve his criticism imo. I can see why non-oasis fans might hate him but it always amazes when I see "longtime oasis fans" shocked by something rude and controversial he's said, he's Liam Gallagher not Chris Martin

Go to an Oasis/Beady Eye/NGHFB gig and you won't find these nobheads down the front. You'll just see these knobheads instead

I think that with all the hate he gets, no matter what album he releases will get enough positive reviews from some people..but the thing with a lot of others is if they start reading positive (professional) reviews they can easily change their mind, they just don't know how to have an opinion for themselves. I thought DGSS was a good album. The Roller, TFLW, The morning son, the beat goes on, millionaire, bring the light etc were all good songs. He deserves certain comments thrown at him but some of the criticism he receives doesn't make any sense imo

His songs just connected with me better but again a lot of them don't get noticed, I highly recommend songs like lets all make believe, I believe in all, little james (never understood the hate for this song) and yes DGSS was a great album, NGHFB was better on the first listen but lost a lot of its power for me but DGSS still sounds great and interesting.

I think Let It Bleed, said it best, Liam is a polarizing figure, with that comes polarizing opinions. Just the way it is....you can't expect every fan to shrug off comments by Liam as "just rock n' roll' "just Liam being Liam", and to an extent, the same with Noel. I don't think anyone who is on this forum legitimately hates Liam. If you're on here, you probably loved nearly everything Liam did in Oasis. However, that does not mean you're obligated to think Liam is a great guy and to forever have him crystallized in this image of the frontman for Oasis. Taking out trolls, I don't think anyone hates Liam.

I don't know about this forum, but I was reading comments on other websites about Liam saying he might retire if this album fails and most of the comments were either really negative or just stupid..

I don't know, when Liam produces something out of the hat like Flick of the Finger, this forum has pretty much been universally praising him. It's a great tune, and he will always be regarded for what he does with music - at the end of the day, that's why we're all here.
Bottom line is - nobody hates him, it's just that for the most part we think albums like Different Gear are pretty dire for a singer who, for me, features on the best album of all time in Definitely Maybe.
Same goes for Noel - we wouldn't expect him to preside over such a shitfest like Heathen Chemistry all over again. If he brings out rubbish, he'll know about it from this forum too!

I think people here started polarizing and hating both Liam (and Andy) after that infamous Noels press conference. They blamed Liam for being the cause of the break up of Oasis and that he is just not possible to work with, to get along with. They kinda have not seen, or didnt want to see, that all the band stayed with Liam, not Noel... and from the pics (i dont mean the recent album promo, but older pics from their vacations and parties) it seems, they enjoy being together, have a good time. Something that was not seen with Noel. Hell, he was even traveling alone on some stupid train, writing his stupid blog, while the whole band was traveling with Liam. So i guess it is not hard to figure out, who is the pain in the ass and who is the pleasant and enjoyable guy, who is fun and comfortable to be around.

Liam's voice Noel's songs
They made Oasis what it was in 50/50 equal parts. On occasion one's talent brought down the other, but a lot of the time one's talent elevated the other. And most of the time they were both just brilliant.
