Great stuff, nice one man, understand it's hard to give any judgement after only one listen but did any tracks stand out above the rest at all? Beady Eye seem to be buzzing over Soul Love... Start Anew was beautiful, but as you said, one listen is really not enough. An (joke) attempt to steal the promo resulted in some punches Alright cheers, I thought Start Anew sounded pretty promising on Dreaming Of Some Space reversed track

I'm really excited now me too, but don't get too excited, it's his opinion. although i believe, that it will be great, maybe we should not let the expectations getting higher than a "Sgt. Peppers lonley hearts club band"

Getting bored of the constant trolling from a selection of members and the talk of beady eye's single being crap and Liam's voice is crap and some woman from the NME thinks the album is crap and so on, so forth... dennizz have you got any news for us?... just that ive hear the 11 album tracks once, it felt really really fresh. Not as out there as Liam would have us believe, but the songs just seem to flow of each other. It's pretty hard to give an opinion after one listen, you try to remember loads and i end up remembering very little... But i was pretty impressed...loads of little subtleties going on, good songs, great vibe and an amazing Liam i' i'll double your year's salary if you obtain a copy of the album and leak it...... think about it.

it's the best Oasis related album ive heard since Dig Out Your Soul. Not sure what to do with that. On one hand, I can't wait for the album, on the other hand, I was expected more than SBOTA and FOTF. Those songs are really good but not that impressive either. But then I remember that I didn't like Lyla that much and got very impressed by DBTT, I don't really like TDOYAM and I love HFB, and so on... First single aren't always a good reflexion of an album quality with the Gallagers. The main thing I'm hopping for in BE is variety. HFB lacked variety and DGSS hadn't enough rockers for me. As much as i like a good Gallagher ballad, I see them as a rock n roll act and I want rock and roll. As for the hate for BDI, I'll never understand it, I think they're not anything special, but they're still better than Kasabian or Artic Monkeys or all those current rock act. If they were a new band, everyone would think they're good, but since they used to be Oasis, everyone is always making comparision with Oasis and Noel's song. But Noel is one of the best songwritter ever, it's quite unfair. It's like everytime Kasabian makes an album everyone says it's not as good as Neil Young's work. Same goes for BDI, enjoy it for what it is, don't expect MG 2, those days are gone even for Noel. I think there's not a single live act as good as BDI out there, just because they're great musicians and they have the best frontman. Oasis just had the all package. Now it's one or the other. But both acts have great quality that you don't find everywhere those days. And finally, BDI won't make any new fan, because old band generally don't. Either they've stayed at the top, or they just play for their fanbase, but 15 years old kids wants band their own generation, they can't relate to Liam's new band, they can relate to Oasis because it's history. Like they can relate to the stone Roses but won't relate that much to Ian Brown solo's albums. But franckly I hardly see someone getting into BDI if he's not into Oasis in the first place, like a I can't see someone getting into Bowie now, whithout knowing and liking his previous work.

On every Gallagher-related album, the first single has NEVER been the best song on the album IMO, just a good album track. Keep the faith.

I liked the whole first side save high horse better, and also preferred TBWTL and possibly Soldier On. Each to their own and all that.

i think as an album DOYS was great. alot people hate "aint got nothin" and "the nature of reality" but for me they fit on the record. DOYS was raw, darker, psychedelic, aggressive and these two songs fit with these words for me.

For me, Falling Down is the best song on DOYS

I'd say TSOTL is overall the best song, proper 'oasis' song and brilliant live
Falling down is very cool tho, the most interesting song, esp at that point in time . Noel never pulled it of live (IMO , the vocal was just never mixed quite right)

I really don't think we've heard the best from this album yet anyway (Even though I really like the 2 songs already out) I think they've just released the two most 'out there' songs to get people talking about the album. Face the Crowd sounds like a standard rocker which would have meant they got pelters for playing it safe, Soul Love is probably too long for radio play, I'm Just Saying is again probably too Oasis-y and safe, Ballroom Figured is probably great but from the description wouldn't work as a single and Start Anew sounds like another Morning Son type song and will probably be excellent but again wouldn't work on radio. So relax people and wait until you've at least heard the previews before writing this album off

DOYS was great. Apart from Ain't Got Nothin' I don't think there are any terrible songs. The Nature Of Reality is average but I love the riff and vocals. The melody and lyrics are shit though. I have a strange attachment to High Horse Lady which I'm yet to decipher. Bag It Up, The Turning, The Shock, Falling Down and To Be Where There's Life all sound great (especially played loud in your car ) and the others are pretty sweet. So, for me, if BE is anywhere near as good as that, for me, I'll be over the moon, because, for me, that's all that matter, what I like. FOR ME. You see the pattern? If you like the album, who cares? Stop worrying about how much it'll sell. I couldn't give a shit, just excited to hear Liam on some new material which, judging from the teasers we have heard of that weird spacey music, is going to be at least interesting, if it isn't fantastic.

People like theyknowwhatimean make me dislike Liam. Noel fans accept when Noel says something stupid or does something infantile. But Liam can do no wrong in the eyes of Liam fans, even when he acts like a complete twat.

This is the place for him to express why he likes him and Beady Eye. He is doing nothing wrong, you are. Why are you here?

After reading this thread I have just listened to Dig Out Your Soul from start to finish. First time in years. I really should listen to it more. The first half of the album in particular is cracking.
I have always been in a minority in that I like The Nature of Reality.

Because you should have been gone long ago.
