Oh and the new QOTSA album is really brilliant too, so is the new Alice In Chains album. Lol claiming BE is the record of the summer is sheer lunacy.

Oh and the new QOTSA album is really brilliant too, so is the new Alice In Chains album. Lol claiming BE is the record of the summer is sheer lunacy. I bought QOTSA's Like Clockwork last Friday and spun it immediately after my first few listens to BE. Whilst the styles are world's apart, there is no denying that the accomplished playing and unique composing of Homme and co. leave Beady Eye in their wake. Theirs is a genuine statement of depth and artistic intent. I still enjoy BE and its appeal doesn't diminish as much as DGSS with repeated listens but it's a very rudimentary collection of songs. I was hoping Andy and Gem would push the envelope a little more but it's apparent more than a decade after Ride and Heavy Stereo, this just ain't going to happen. Liam singing on a Josh Homme composition? Sounds ludicrous but I can hear it and it sounds like a chart topper!..

Oh god another nutter ^ (specially after looking at their previous post, the sun brings them out doesn't it)
I cant see Beady Eye beating Black Sabbaths album, that'll probably be huge. Hopefully #2 though

I think BE will do better. Maybe not in the first week but in the long run.
I can see a lot of ladies and casual fans enjoying BE, if the management manages to market it properly. And on the contrary, I can't imagine a lot of mums digging Black Sabbath.
I guess that means Beady Eye are "mum rock".

Beady Eye are a sad excuse for a band. Oasis were one of the best bands ever. After Sabbath, the Ramones,Bad Religion and the Small Faces. Noel was the talent, he took that with him. There will be no Oasis reunion in the near future. Thank God! If you want to hear music similar to Oasis that is really good, check out Miles Kane or wait for Noel's next masterpiece!

One could argue, that Beady Eye are a better band than Oasis. In fact I think it would be pretty easy to win that argument.

Black Sabbath are to metal what the Beatles are to rock. And metal is a lot more vibrant, popular and diverse than rock in today's age, black sabbath will easily outsell beady eye.

Its quite sad that you get a small kick of posting complete shite to wind people up. Yet again you're doing your usual anti-Beady Eye crap, if you dont like it fair enough, but fuck off. I dont like Boyzone so i dont hang about in their forums. I love Oasis, yeah of course Beady Eye isnt the same but they've done some good tunes. If Oasis released the roller I bet you would like it, but as its Beady Eye lets start with all the negative crap. Again you dont like it, fair enough, but to KEEP going on about Beady Eye so negatively is just starting to smack of stupid troll shite. Move on, lifes too short. Of course they wont outsell Black Sabbath, me personally i'm looking forward to some good gigs from Beady Eye and listening to some good tunes on their album.

Thank you for pointing that out man ....it drives me up awall when kids out there ( not saying your a kid or not dont know you ). And worse when people my age or in sme age bracket say zep is the best metal band ever ...zep were not metal never were metal ....sabbath invented it or at least were in on ground floor ., they never had the diversity of zep , nor did they want that...I'm a zep guy ...best band ever to me and could give fuck all about what anyone says about the Beatles zep are my Beatles but they are not METAL. That honor goes to SABBATH.

metallica is metal - black sabbath is hard rock Not really ..... Metallica pushed it harder but the term heavy metal was used for sabbath a decade before Metallica ...no doubt they pushed it further , but sabbath made it so by playing a brand of music that couldn't be lumped in with the stones , the who , ect ect. So they are metal , just not as " metal" as Metallica or others after then , but without them the genre might not have been there ..... Have you seen the Westies yet man ??

I feel sorry for James Skelly's solo effort [with the 'Intenders'] getting lost in all this - I got the LP yesterday and it's brilliant!

I have heard 13, I have heard BE. BE is far superior. But there is a much larger and loyal following of anything Ozzy and Sabbath related. Plus it is their comeback album...so my bet would be on Sabbath beating out BE for sheer popularity.
But hopefully BE can pull a miracle and beat them out. And if not, I hope they reach number 2 in the charts. It is unlikely though. They will make top 10 for sure.

If it was pre-break up Oasis or obviously return Oasis they would stomp Sabbath. Unfortunately though Beady Eye's first album didn't pack the punch that the band and fans were hoping for so some of the more ignorant and casual fans won't understand that the 2nd effort is vastly superior to there first. I hope they beat Sabbath, I hope they even chart, but if there in the top then I think that would be great. I understand Liam and co. have a predisposed ego because they were in one of the biggest bands in the world but it sorta gets me that Liam can't seem to grasp that side projects don't do as well as the original band. I mean you don't see Primal Scream, Babyshambles or any other Indie band spin off project really on the charts at all. He needs to stop thinking he is going to get the same results as Oasis because he won't. I'll be happy wherever it lands...As long as it out performs Radiohead. If it doesn't my friends won't let me hear the end of it.....(>_>)

metallica is metal - black sabbath is hard rock What does Metallica and Micheal Jackson have in common? They both turned to shit after black. Black Sabbath invented heavy metal, doom metal, funeral metal, stoner metal, all that dropped down detuned guitar stuff that's been widely popular since the early 90s can be traced straight back to Black Sabbath. You won't find a single metal band that won't cite Sabbath as a huge influence.

Beady Eye wont outsell Sabbath, i hope BDI go to #2 though. It'll surely be top 10, the frustrating thing is it is a far better album than DGSS so i hope that doesnt get lost. I wish they did a few TV adverts, i still know a few friends of friends who didnt even realise Liam was in a new group ! One bloke said to me 'didnt realise, heard a song on the radio and thought thats weird, sounds like Liam'. Pay for a few TV adverts

They wish they had done something as good as DOYS/HC. Cringetastic band but they were phenomenal before that. 14 year old boys the world over are what keep that band going.
