Because there's no autotune on the new album. You're saying that after hearing one song with fuck all singing in it? I'll wait for the record before I comment on vocal effects thank you. Yeah, I'm also saying that after I read numerous interview where the band have stated Liam's vocals are untouched for the whole album. Ozzy hasn't got a good voice at all anymore, he's been using autotune since the late 90s and miming at certain gigs since the early 2000's. Just listen to any track from Down To Earth, every song has the autotune turned up to 10.

Only thing for it is for them to bring their album forward Then they'd have to beat Queens of the Stone Age. Miles Kane also has an album out June 3rd. Not even sure who else. And I'm sure there are pop people that I'm not aware of. Beady Eye aren't "guaranteed" a #1 except on a week with weak sales. Moving their album around is probably mostly pointless. It's not like it's only Black Sabbath that could beat them to #1 and that if they could just get the album out a week earlier it would be smooth sailing.

Can't be bothered with leaks and stem I mean wtf ? Give me the lp then talk.

That's unfeasible though obviously Your right about the unfeasibility Unfortunately they are not big enough or indie enough to do that , so the label will look for a soft spot to be sure. , but like you I to like to hear lps as soon as I can and fuck the promo man ......... I know I sound like your father or grandfather now who to D you in there day they walked to school 10 miles in snow to get there so stop your crying and go , lol But I remember being 14 the wall came out I had to walk to Monty's music warehouse at 0 am to wait for the store to open first day it was released. Anticipation was so high ... So I know what you speak of ,, just release it fuck the charts ... Alas not in this world man ... But agreed

And then you will comment a lot no doubt. Having listened to the stem of just the vocals there doesn't seem to be much if any tinkering on there.

Liam's voice will not be untouched this record.
His voice was overdriven and compressed, at the very least, on FOTF. Not hating, it's minimal compared to the double tracked, comped, echo-heavy vocals on previous releases but it's not "pure" in the way Frank's voice is be on one of his 50s recordings.
It's a damn sight more honest than most pop vocals anyway.

I don't know why but I feel like Be will be very successful... It seems Beady Eye beats Black Sabbath in pre-order charts.

Miles has built himself up a nice fanbase and Queen of the Stone Age have been selling very well as of late

Hmm, interesting. When I checked a few hours ago BE was behind Sabbath's record by about 30 spots, same as this morning. Either Beady Eye had a nice surge in the last few hours or Play updates every few hours and BE went ahead during the "low hours" for sales as opposed to the "peak hours" when they're usually behind. I think it's a combination of both because the double disc was not anywhere in the Top 50 a few hours ago. "BE" the single disc was the only thing there at was #38. Also, as of the moment Sabbath is #11 on the Amazon charts and "BE" is #33 (very similar to the numbers that were on Play up until a couple hours of ago). Edit: Yea, Play.com updates. Just refreshed and Sabbath went from 13 to 15. I would say at the moment "BE" leading is a blip. However, if 10 or 11 hours from now (during peak hours) they're still ahead then it may be a trend.

I know more people who like the latter, which was my scientific method!!

Has anyone pointed out yet that the QotSA album is out the week before, so will probably still be selling well?

queens of the stone age will be a tough concurrent. They are getting bigger and bigger with each album. i got a ticket for their concert in a venue in vienna for i think 5000 people and it was sold out, that fast, that they had to move into the city hall, which is for about 13 000 people. I am a huge Queens of the Stone Age fan, but i really hope that the new album has better tunes than the first taster "My god is the sun", which was the first Queens Release, that really was kind of boring in my ears.

I haven't been paying that close attention to the reviews since I got the actual music to listen to myself. What preorder charts are you looking at? I'm looking at amazon.co.uk now and Black Sabbath are 1 and 6. BE is 5 and 13 They are #1 on Play.com but their second version is #13. Black Sabbaths 2 versions are #2 and #3 which probably combine to more than BE so they are probably heading up that chart as well... Black Sabbath are also 106 on the iTunes Chart to BE's 199. (They don't have a preorder chart per se but the preorders are on the main chart if there are enough of them) We'll probably have a god idea if they have a chance this time next weeks but I still think the chances are pretty slim.

It really should not matter or be close , with sabbath touring , getting all that ozzy. Sharon split bullshit not to mention ozzy relapse ( what timing eh ? ) Plus sabbath history. I can't see it challenging that ..hope always for best but , it seems a bit much to ask for I think ... No ?

Make Noel and Liam look like mewling kittens I agree it's a big ask for BDI to beat them. Sabbath have everything in their factor really.

Sabbath's album leaked btw (it was being streamed on iTunes for free last night) and it trumps BE in quality, great record. Ozzy sounds good but Iommi and Geezer are just out of this world good.
