I just can't understand how it wouldn't be selected as Zane's hottest record, find that odd.
I've got a feeling tomorrow won't be the day either, there's been no official announcement.

We know something is being played tomorrow don't we and Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq couldn't have been clearer in saying that the song is NOT flick of the finger. We'll hear the new single tomorrow probably with an announcement of released and then once it's circulated around the internet for a bit, they'll release the music video they recorded last week

Oh ye of little faith...
New single will not necessarily be released tomorrow, but it WILL be played.
It would be illogical to simply release a single that nobody has heard. It has to circulate first. Tomorrow we will hear the single and at some point in the near future we will be able to buy it.
For the sake of clarity: THE NEW SINGLE WILL BE ON AIR TOMORROW.
Official announcements and releases come later.

It would also be illogical to release two different songs to radio in just over a week, especially when this one is starting to pick up a bit of buzz. We should also bear in mind that the album isn't on sale for another 2 months, if they were to release another song to radio tomorrow, the publicity from that would have worn off by the time the album was available to buy, meaning possibly a third song released. From an 11-track album, and all before the album is released seems a bit of an overkill to me. I'd speculate that FOTF was due to be the first song released, and it's debut date was due to be tomorrow. I'd imagine the next track released would be the first proper single, with the video shot late week, which would be released closer to the release of the album.

Yeah it's 100% not going to be Flick Of The Finger. I think it's likely that Zane will have Liam on the phone or pre-recorded to introduce the track as it is the first play, what with them announcing tour dates tomorrow as well. Be calm people, we will be hearing the new single tomorrow.

To me it would make sense for them to make the announcement about the gigs tomorrow. This will drive traffic to the site and in the announcement say make sure you tune into zane Lowe tonight the first play of our single. Then vice versa on the Zane Lowe show he says check out BE site for tour dates? Tho it does feel like it won't be get played tomorrow you'd have thought they would've got hottest record in the world? |

They should just upload it to their YouTube account tomorrow morning. Then facebook and tweet out the links. The internet will handle the rest. It'll spread fast and furious from there to all those interested in Oasis/Gallagher brother activities. Building up to an official radio premier is kind of an antiquated system. I kind of like how FOTF had a random play on a US radio station. I dig the spontaneity of it.

It's hardly made that big a splash. I tend to believe the American radio station played it before they were supposed to and we were supposed to get the teaser in the stems first. Like a more interesting BTL release. It's really barely being play on radio I think. Just raised the anticipation on the established fanbase. As for how far they are out from the album. They'll just release another single with the album... I think that is a fairly standard formula. 1 single before the album release to build anticipation and another coordinated with the album release so that something is fresh on the radio when the album is released. |

You know more about splashing that I do!! ...Do you, by any chance, live near the Mediterranean (sp?)? from what I heard, that's the most splashiest of destinations.
