I think Flick of the Finger has served its purpose and has done it well: get things going inside the fanbase and start spreading the word. Tomorrow we'll listen to the new single, just in time to announce tour dates and free download of FOTF, drawing people's attention definitively towards Beady Eye and the new record. Just my theory.

It makes sense that Beady Eye's new single isn't Zane Lowe's Hottest Record because the Hottest Record is from Empire of the Sun who have a significantly bigger fan base than Beady Eye and haven't released new music for 5 years

It makes sense that Beady Eye's new single isn't Zane Lowe's Hottest Record because the Hottest Record is from Empire of the Sun who have a significantly bigger fan base than Beady Eye and haven't released new music for 5 years I think the point of that is why not wait until Tuesday to do play the single etc. This was obviously planned at long time in advance so why clash it with a day where someone else is the hottest record. |

The Hottest Record is normally on at around 7:30... But I'd suggest tuning in from 7, he normally plays some decent tunes (If you ignore some of the dubstep shite he plays in between) |
