Yeah!! who cares about Oasis and its spin-offs, Mumford & Sons is on the radio!! Something commercially viable, that's what we need!! Bring on the economists and musical theorists! Hell, bring me the corpse of Seymour Stein and his Gurus of Commercial Viability!! Must be troll season already. Gets earlier and earlier every year. Then dear Mr. Non-Troll, what exactly do you mean by "Americans...havent really given a shit commercially ever since."? do you mean that Americans-- as a collective-- with economic incentives in mind (i.e. profit, salability, or fiscal stability etc etc.) choose to support or not support a certain rock 'n' roll band from across the Atlantic through that economic template? Or are you talking out of your ass again (e.g. with your liberal use of the term "commercially"-- as if one's musical tastes, or the musical tastes of the collective even, was based on one's fiscal responsibilities)??

Safe in the knowledge that there will be no new single played tomorrow, and that FOTF IS the single itself, I shall be sitting back and loling to my hearts content tomorrow evening at 7.15pm. FACT. Cool man sounds real fun

The thing that does my head in with all this Radio 1 bullshit is the fact they have a rule not to play oasis/beady eye/Noel etc because it is considered not suitable for their demographic but they are quick to have these one offs for a ratings puller, Liam & co should tell em where to stick it & go with stations who care. Not 1 Noel/beady eye tune made it onto the playlist & I guarantee no tune from BE will be either.....why support radio 1 if the support isn't returned - controlled commercial run wankers (in my opinion license fee has nothing to do with radio 1, controlled by record companies & executives) Fuck shitty Radio 1, I'll wait for the rips rather than tune into that pile of pap. I'm also a little confused by their decisions to premier of Radio 1 again when chances are they won't get play listed. They are older artists and not super popular. I mean...they are debuting their first single on Zane Lowe's show and he didn't even make them his hottest record of the week? I'd probably tune in for the interview though if I weren't working. Zane Lowe sometimes asks some interesting questions.

If your not gonna get playlisted (which they know won't happen) then at least get your record played to a worldwide audience, with interview etc ? All other radio stations will get interviewed and playlist them pre the singles release.

But hey i know you knew that, you're organised and obviously always perfect at grammar. I can't wait for 7.15 knowing you'll be so happy, the disappointment of not hearing the new single and just FOTF again won't even register to me.

I'm still convinced it will be FOTF - it just seems to fit.
Zane will play it after 7 and the stems will reach a close on the website unlocking the artwork for it and then it will be released onto itunes on Tuesday morning or Monday night, after all the soundcloud page does say it will be available on itunes soon.
Second Bite Of The Apple will then be the second single, the more official one with full band vid do coincide with the album release.
Hope I'm wrong but it all just makes too much sense to me that this wouldn't happen.

I'm just happy the first song we've heard from this album is fun, interesting and different for them. I'm excited, so are so many others on this forum. Mission accomplished thus far.

I don't doubt that there is more coming but with him saying soon and not on Monday, part of me thinks he means single number 2. I'd love to hear some new tomorrow, don't get me wrong.
It just seems bizarre that FOTF is played on the radio and all the website build up is based around that tune then they would suddenly throw something else out there then in 2 or 3 weeks time have to get on with SBOTA and all the promo for that. All seems rushed and unorganised if that's the case.
I also think if it was an unheard Beady Eye track then it would be hottest record on the show, I think he'll have a short interview with Liam and announce these first live dates then just play FOTF again. Might even announce SBOTA as the 'offical single' and give it a release date.

I think people are getting too bogged down in the concept of a single. It's a dying form. Last album cycle, Beady Eye released so many songs i didn't know what was "official" or not and at the end of the day who cares. Everyone on this forum will know all the songs inside and out once it leaks. If Zane plays a different song tomorrow great! If not? Oh well. FOTF is still a great album introduction for what lies ahead. I do find it strange that all the marketing thus far is FOTF related to just go about face tomorrow when Zane Lowe plays a new "single". Seems too sudden.
