It would also be illogical to release two different songs to radio in just over a week, especially when this one is starting to pick up a bit of buzz. We should also bear in mind that the album isn't on sale for another 2 months, if they were to release another song to radio tomorrow, the publicity from that would have worn off by the time the album was available to buy, meaning possibly a third song released. From an 11-track album, and all before the album is released seems a bit of an overkill to me. I'd speculate that FOTF was due to be the first song released, and it's debut date was due to be tomorrow. I'd imagine the next track released would be the first proper single, with the video shot late week, which would be released closer to the release of the album. FOTF was just a little teaser. It's hardly made that big a splash. I tend to believe the American radio station played it before they were supposed to and we were supposed to get the teaser in the stems first. Like a more interesting BTL release. It's really barely being play on radio I think. Just raised the anticipation on the established fanbase. As for how far they are out from the album. They'll just release another single with the album... I think that is a fairly standard formula. 1 single before the album release to build anticipation and another coordinated with the album release so that something is fresh on the radio when the album is released. i doubt the radio station that played Flick of The Finger first screwed up a play date......and if it weren't for that son of a bitch, thuperthonic no one would've known, more than likely...... fuck yeah!

Good point! Americans checked out mentally from Oasis in the fall of 1997 and havent really given a shit commercially ever since. Nobody is going to go nuts if Beady Eye was played on a LA radio station late at night. I still know plenty of Americans who think they broke up after mtv unplugged in 1996! If you have new music to share with fans, just go let it out.

I don't see anything being played tomorrow. I think Flick Of The Finger is the first taster a bit like BTL and Second Bite Of The Apple will be the 'official single' and will probably be out on 3/6/13. First play for that will be in the next 2 or 3 weeks I presume.
When Zane played FOTF he said it isn't the first official single and that would come very soon - he never committed to Monday 15th April, listen here...http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01rq9hf at 56.47. Very soon would tie in with SBOTA being played in the next couple of weeks ready for release just before the record.

Zane's show is premiering a new Beady Eye song tomorrow. It has to be new if the BBC have played Flick Of The Finger already!

Zane's show is premiering a new Beady Eye song tomorrow. It has to be new if the BBC have played Flick Of The Finger already! Well put. Every radio dj has said that it's NOT the single. If zane gets an exclusive airplay, then that's not gonna change, regardless.

I just don't think it will, firstly I think it would of definitely without a doubt been Zane's 'hottest record' tomorrow if it was getting played and it isn't.
Secondly, I think there would of been an announcement on it's first airplay, the single hasn't even been announced yet, never mind an airplay of it.
This 15th of April has just been posted by NME, no one else has even mentioned it.
Also they said tomorrow there will be a 'live' announcement, they didnt mentioned anything else getting announced.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it getting played tomorrow.

Bring on the economists and musical theorists! Hell, bring me the corpse of Seymour Stein and his Gurus of Commercial Viability!!

I still think within the live announcement they'll mention the first single play, which will most likely tomorrow but this week definitely. The don't want to hype to many things they've choose live dates as we all expected the single tomorrow anyway. Well get the tour dates (to buy Friday I'd guess) and official confirmation of the single play tomorrow I'm sure

I still think we are going to hear the single tomorrow. Zane said he is playing something new and it'll be a head scratcher if they release 2 album tracks before they even release 1 single.
Surprised it isn't Zanes hottest record of the week even if the track isn't a single. He made TGR and SAHITS records of the week and they were just b-sides. Bug I don't think that doesn't mean it's not happening.
We already have the album title and track listing and the month of the release and the first 3 cities of the tour. I'll bet we get the album date tomorrow, first 3 live dates/venues, and the single play with items release date.

I hope you're wrong Rolo.
I agree with the fella above - we've had loads of info piled on us of late. It's the right time for them to chuck something out there.
Plus, as I've banged on and on about, Zane Lowe has promised something that we haven't heard before.
When you all hear the new single tomorrow, remember I said this, and feel guilt for your lack of faith in Beady Eye.
Onwards!
