I initially loved TIOBI, but for some reason after seeing the video it lost its magic, and I have no idea why. I still like it, but I feel The Turning has a better solo, shamefully too short though.

I think Noel should have used different producers after MG for all the albums, HFB too, to get everything out of it. The OOPS thread made me realise that. Sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed for Liam when I hear live versions. I wonder if he notices he sounds awful during those moments and I wonder what he thinks. This, especially the first one!

I think the studio version of Cast No Shadow is shit (other than the awesome harmonies).
I hate Listen Up, I can't stand it for reasons I've mentioned many a time.
I think Glastonbury 2004 wasn't that bad of a performance, and certainly not a bad vocal from Liam, particularly on Stop Crying Your Heart Out which everybody seems to hate.
Alan White drummed the Definitely Maybe era songs better than any other drummer including Tony, in my opinion.
Some Might Say is one of the weaker songs on Morning Glory. I'd probably rate it equal with Hey Now.
Roll With It > Slide Away
Noel's version of Wonderwall is equally as good as Liam's. But not the Ryan Adams version, that's shit.
I Can See A Liar is not a bad song.

Oh and while we are on the subject of Fade In-Out:
I see it as a very fine chocolate, sitting in the middle of a loaf of brown bread.
That's my expressionism for shit production, great song...

Fucking hate Glasto 2004. Liam was in full Kermit mode that night.

Speaking of Kermit & Liam, I think there were more instances than not, in the 90s, where Liam had a Kermit-like, or just an incredibly nasally voice, in general. The Champagne Supernova MTV Awards performance, and also Columbia at Knebworth, sounded really nasally, but I don't think anyone else points it out because he had a voice that surrounded the nasally tone & it wasn't just omnipresent, like it was during HC, and from there on....
....which also makes me think that Liam's style of singing pre-DM is damn cool. Just have a listen to Alive, and you'll see what I mean. His voice has a little bit of Ian Brown, a bit of Lennon, but comes out like himself. I wish that would've shown up somewhere else besides Married With Children because that style sounded cool af.

High Horse Lady is brilliant, I prefer it to Record Machine, especially the HFB version which makes wanna vomit.

1. Listen Up is my favourite Oasis track. 2. I don't actually mind (Probably) All It The Mind 3. I prefer the live version of Slide Away to the album version (pre 00's) 4. I actually like Liam's performance at the Olympics 5. I think Just Getting Older is one of their most underrated songs. 6. I hate the Meaning Of Soul.

I really disagree with these but to each their own! These two will be all time favorites songs but I haven't played Wonderwall or Live Forever in ages, especially the former unless I'm listening to their respective albums. Most days I prefer Hello to Rock n Roll Star.

Glasto 2014 wasn't that bad for me. I was there and they didn't sound bad at all. It was a bit of a weird day, England had been knocked out of the Euro's the day before and Friday had been hot as hell all day, it didn't make for a good mix that night. I remember the crowd being a bit flat all evening.

I can't agree with much on this post, but I do agree with that. I think it was cool that Beady Eye, despite their short time being around, actually got the chance to perform at such a World stage event like the Olympics. That's a pretty good honor, to say the very least.

For me, 'Gas Panic!' should be considered as one of their best songs and achievement's. At least in the top ten of all their songs. I also think it's better than 'Wonderwall', which I've always considered overrated.
I've never really liked '(WTS) MG', with 'Hey Now' being my favourite track. I consider the b-sides superior to half of the album.
'Keep The Dream Alive' is my favourite track on DBTT. I don't get the hate for this song, although I agree the production could be much better.
I really dislike 'Importance Of Being Idle'. But really love all the b-sides and bonus tracks on DBTT.
Removing a few album tracks and replacing them with a couple of b-sides, SOTSOG is my favourite Oasis album.
1. Fuckin In The Bushes 2. Go Let It Out 3. Who Feels Love 4. Carry Us All 5. Gas Panic 6. Where Did It All Go Wrong (Semi-Acoustic Version) 7. Cigarettes In Hell 8. Let's All make Believe 9. I Can See A Liar 10. Roll It Over

Well, you do realize why they were invited, right? Of course, but to get to be able to do that really is pretty cool, whether or not you originally wrote the song, or if you're representing what's left of the original band. You're still performing at the Olympics, on a big time World stage, like I mentioned.

I can't listen to Live Forever (Manchester 2005) without crying Listen to Live Forever at Hampden 2005. A great, great sing along, globe? (even you can't remember as you were drunk as hell)

One of the first songs I listened by them was Stand By Me Acoustic live from Right Here Right Now. I downloaded it from Kazaa (remember it?) and I thought it was the album version. When I bought Be Here Now a year later and listened to the album version it was a mindfuck. Also I thought it was too long. The acoustic version will always be the one for me.

Also, i'm a big big fan of Oasis since dec. 2011 or jan. 2012, because I'm still young (20). But Oasis were on my iPod since 2009. I used to listen Live Forever, Stand By Me, Don't Go Away and Don't Look Back In Anger everyday on the bus coming home after school. Also i remember I'm Outta Time on the radio. Strange days, people were obsessed with that dance song Infinity 2008 by Guru Josh, tecktonik days I became a proper fan in the car coming home after few days in London. I started listening Some Might Say and the day after I checked out all their songs Other confession: I like when Liam is angry on stage. Maybe his voice is bad, but he has no fear. Like here, what a beast

(What's The Story) Morning Glory? isn't that great an album. It has truly outstanding songs but as an album it doesn't work for me. There's not enough balls on that record when compared with the albums which sandwich it. Oasis-neutered, Following with that theme, I really don't get 'Don't Look Back In Anger'. Great singalong at stadiums for sure but when you strip it back it's not that great and I cannot remember when I last listened to it in isolation or if I'll choose to listen to it again, I was really glad when they called it a day and wouldn't be arsed if they didn't get back together. Liam's voice is finished and it's heart-breaking hearing him growl though Morning Glory or Bring It On Down when he used to have the greatest voice of his generation. Most singers go downhill over time. Liam went of a cliff, I genuinely do think that if SOTSOG had Let's All Make Believe on it and the tracklisting was tweaked (two Noel sung tracks in a row! ) it'd be their best album. I'm not that arsed about NGHFB or BDI, I loved Liam singing Noel's songs and thought Oasis were greater than the sum of their parts. Take them apart and I'm bored, I can only listen to 4 albums (5 including The Masterplan) without skipping songs I really like Sunday Morning Call (ducks for cover)
