Morning Glory has to be my favorite Oasis song(if not my favorite song of all time). It just fits my mood everytime I listen to it, I even fall asleep listening to it, somehow it strangely relaxes me.

I hate how the Gallaghers can drink gallons of beer, but not get fat like me.

I finally understand why everyone prefers the Richard Fearless version of To Be Where There's Life to the album version, that version kicks ass!

I hate how the Gallaghers can drink gallons of beer, but not get fat like me. Those days are long gone man , don't kid yourself They have not been " lager louts " ( as USA press is fond of saying ) there drinking shoes always seem to shiiiine during album releases , I'm not knocking it its just true , they are not the britpop lager loving louts we all knew , and well they shouldn't be , they now pic there spots so they don't get fat plus they have families they wan us to believe that image when selling records good buisness ... But the press always seem to know where to find them to remind us of there past glory ...wonder how Edit and don't get it twisted i love them more than ever , but they and drinking gallons of beer mate , maybe alot of tea , don't believe the hype man , Keith has been drug free for years but still looks heroin cool , it's a image . And heroin ain't cool but that's a expression he used not me .

Boy With The Blues is in my top 10 Oasis songs. I love it and hope to goodness that I'll get to hear a live version some day.

On the contrary, I think LTBL is one of the more overrated oasis songs. They had done plenty of emotional songs before but that one is just a tad too sappy and wimpy for me.
Even the title alone is shit and makes me cringe lol.

That's not to say that I don't like oasis love songs. But for some reason I seem to prefer them when Noel sings them (acoustically). I'm not too find of that "sweet" voice Liam adopts in songs like LTBL, For Anyone, etc. Comes off as unnatural and not like the Liam that I'm accustomed to.

DOYS will take about ten years to really grow on me. It's my least favorite Oasis album. I prefer BE's DGSS and NGHFB's over DOYS or all of the album's that precede DOYS.
There, I said it

I think Round Are Way is great.
I think Its Getting Better Man is great.
I think BHN is too short. (DYKWIM, MBM, AATW, IGBM should all be lengthened.
(DYKWIM with a longer intro) (MBM with a longer solo) (AATW and IGBM both could go on a bit longer, controversial i know)
I think BOADC is the best song from the HC era.
I cant stand DBTT. All the songs have acoustic guitars.
Love like a bomb, part of the queue, guess god thinks im Abel, keep the dream alive etc., theyre just bland and soft and samey.
the second half of DOYS is piss-poor. The first half is quality.

Millionaire and Dream On are my favourite post-Oasis songs. Brilliant tunes, I think. Ironically, they were both written while the band was still intact, but were either never considered or rejected for an official release.
I can't stand listening to Bring The Light, Don't Brother Me or Shine A Light. I painfully remember a students party at around the time DGSS was released and for some reason Bring The Light was played by the DJ. My friends knew I was an Oasis fan and for the first time in my life I felt embarassed about Liam. Awkward tune and lyrics.

I think SOTSOG is better than the unedited BHN. I'd like to love those opening 4 tracks, in particular, but the awful production work ruins it for me. They're all solid songs, with the exception of Magic Pie, but the way they came out just doesn't work.
While we're on the subject of SOTSOG, I believe that Roll it Over is just as good, if not better, than Champagne Supernova.
I think SOTSOG is really solid, except for three meh tracks, with one of them ruined by lyrics, which would be...
Little James, which I think is a good song with a nice melody & instrumentation that is ruined by the lyrics. Still, they're not too bad, considering they were wrote for a young kid.
I wish Noel would've done an acoustic version of Live Forever more often. That's one track that didn't get played enough acoustic form, and I must say, it sounds awesome in that form.
I think Heathen Chemistry is the worst album that has come from either Gallagher brother.
I think it's a shame they bailed on Rockin' Chair so soon, and that the reason was because Liam couldn't sing it. I wish Noel would've done it, instead, and played the song like that. Noel singing that song just seems brilliant, and...
I hope he does that song some time on his CY Tour, or even for TCT gig. That would be a crowd pleaser, and quite a treat.
I'm Outta Time, D'You Know What I Mean?, Stand By Me, and Falling Down always sounded boring to me when they were played live. IOT didn't have a proper live arrangement, DYKWIM sounded like a beefy & mundane Wonderwall, SBM would've been better acoustic, and FD just didn't have certain elements there to live up to what it was all about, like IOT.
I think it's a travesty that Strange Thing and Alive never made it past demo form. Those two are brilliant tracks, and I think if they would've been finished, they would have had a better place on DM than Shakermaker & Bring it on Down. Wonderful tracks.
I think Liam is much more of a people person than Noel is. I enjoy how, even though he's famous, and was in a hugely successful rock band, he still has time to chat with regular ol' fans, even going as far as being in the crowd at a Stone Roses concert with the "regular folk" having a good time, without a care as to who sees him & what he does. He can be an ass to the media at times, yeah, but rightfully so.
I think what I just mentioned is one of the reasons why it's sad that Beady Eye failed. Nevertheless, I think Liam strived for too much, too fast, but it was fun while it lasted.
I think The Meaning of Soul is a nice filler, and A Bell Will Ring is my least favorite on DBTT. Eyeball Tickler would've been a better contribution from Gem in that era.
I think Underneath the Sky is wonderful, but should've ended off with the piano solo, instead.

1) After 'DYKWIM', 'Fade In-Out' is the best song on 'Be Here Now'. 2) 'The Masterplan' [album] isn't all what it's cracked up to be and has a very different track list to what I would of chosen for it. 3) 'The Masterplan' [song] isn't one of Noel's best. Easily outside the top 10, and for me, outside the top 20. 4) 'Up In The Sky', 'Magic Pie', 'Fade In-Out', 'Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is', 'I Can See a Liar', 'Little James', 'Force Of Nature', 'She Is Love', 'Mucky Fingers', 'The Meaning Of Soul' and 'The Nature Of Reality' are all underrated to varying extents. Not all are great songs, but they don't deserve they hate they get. 5) 'Stand By Me', 'Stay Young', 'Roll It Over', 'Turn Up The Sun' and 'Alone On The Rope' are all vastly overrated. 6) 'Slide Away', 'The Masterplan' and 'Let's All Make Believe' are all great songs, but too, are very overrated. 7) 'Songbird' is nothing more than a good song and has no place near a career spanning Oasis 'Best Of'. 8) For me, 'Force Of Nature' would make a noughties 12-13 track 'Best Of Oasis' compilation. 9) 'Coming On Strong' was strong enough to make any Oasis album and would of been single worthy post 'WTSMG'. 10) 'Take Me' too should have been recorded, at least as a b-side. 'Strange Thing' too [maybe more unreleased stuff I forget]. 11) Noel heavily simplifies and sometimes glamorises the origins of his songs, to make easy to repeat stories of them. 12) As awkward as it is, Noel should have remained the sole song writer of Oasis. Bar the songs; 'Songbird', 'I'm Out Of Time' and 'To Be Where There's Life' the rest are very average. Keep those 3, maybe 2-3 others... the rest can go.

I prefer the alternate version of Waiting For The Rapture to the albumversion. It was more dreamy and not such a Doors rip off.
I think Let's All Make Believe is overrated.
I hardly ever listen to the post 2000 B sides apart from Let's All Make Believe, You've Got The Heart Of A Star, Shout It Out Loud and Those Swollen Hand Blues. Those and the tracks of the Masterplan are the only B sides I regularly listen to. I often have trouble remembering what Flashbax or Carry Us All sound like for example. I don't even know why this is the case.
I think Who Puts The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders is whiney.
I think Noel should have used different producers after MG for all the albums, HFB too, to get everything out of it. The OOPS thread made me realise that.
Sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed for Liam when I hear live versions. I wonder if he notices he sounds awful during those moments and I wonder what he thinks.
I don't like most of the songs on DBTT. POTQ, Lyla, LTBL, TUTS and TIOB are great though.
I love DOYS except for TNOR. I rank that album very high.
I'm always incredibly annoyed by Mark Feltham when I listen to 95/96 performances. I think the harmonica ruins a lot of songs. I hate that instrument anyway, the sound of it grinds my ears. So annoying. Can't listen to it. So I guess I actually hate all Oasis songs that have harmonicas on them too actually. Though Gas Panic, Mucky Fingers and All Around The World are good songs.
