Oasis - Live Forever Oasis - D'You Know What I Mean? The Verve - Brainstorm Interlude The Beatles - Here, There, and Everywhere
Honestly, this phenomenon doesn't happen to me that often. Most of the time I need to spend time with a song before I really appreciate it. Just like you probably didn't fall in love with your partner the first time you saw them, right?

Strawberry Fields Forever and A Day In The Life blew me away completely when I first heard them as a child (as a baby, but you're not aware of it then). So did Bohemian Rhapsody.
Can't really think of a lot of other occasions actually. Probably had them, but can't remember. I usually also need a bit more time to appreciate a song, or I love it at first listen, but to be blown away is something else.

2 by the same guy for entirely different reasons
Helter Skelter......"Wow! That's The Beatles? It's heavier than Black Sabbath!"
Wonderful Christmastime......"The guy who wrote Helter Skelter wrote this? It's the wimpiest piece of shit I've ever heard!" But then I remembered his Mary Had A Little Lamb single and it didn't seem so far fetched anymore.

Now think of how that same guy has written Helter Skelter, Obladi Oblada and Wild Honey Pie AND how they're on the same album.

Check out the album, you will certainly enjoy it then. Its only 9 tracks, so its an easier listen.

I Got a Name by Jim Croce
My math teacher told me about it and said it would be a good song to perform (since I had done some performances before). That first listen was downright amazing, to say the least. I had heard it on the radio before, but never the whole thing, and I was surprised with the fact that I had found the song & it was absolutely beautiful upon listening to it in its entirety for the first time.
