I'm Outta' Time confirmed that I loved oasis to me because up until that point I had just enjoyed a few of the big songs everyone knew like wonderwall and don't look back in anger but this opened a new door for me, I then listened to dig out your soul, the first album I listened to in full on a stereo that whole album blew me away actually at the time

Heroin by the Velvet Underground is hard to explain unless you've actually heard it. It's pretty haunting. I remember one line being stuck in my head: "And I guess, but I just don't know. Oh and I guess that I just don't know..."

I can't remember hearing Oasis songs for the first time, because I just gre up with them, so they were always sort of there...
But last year, when I heard Switchblade Smiles for the first time, it blew my mind. I was like "Fucking hell, this is what modern rock is about. It's so fucking good."

Shame that I don't remember most songs that blew me away on first listen  , there have to be some but I can't think of them. Most of the time I only really get blown away on repeated listens. Regardless, this one really got my attention first time I played it (just a few days ago) (Two - The Antlers) and I guess Come On Feel Da Noize (the Oasis cover). Somehow I missed this among all the B Sides along with most of their covers but this one is really good. |
