Here's an interesting site, listing the most critically acclaimed artists of all time. www.acclaimedmusic.netRadiohead are a very impressive 6th on the list, being the third most critically acclaimed band after The Beatles (obviously first) and The Rolling Stones (with three solo artists - Dylan, Bowie and Springsteen - splitting the bands in the top six). Oasis are 53rd; considering this covers a large proportion of the history of Western pop music, and considering their purple patch was just a mere few years, I think this is quite an achievement in itself. Quite obviously, their material from the 2000s onwards isn't going to do them any favours so the fact that just two albums and a whole host of b-sides projects them up that far is testament to the unbelievable high quality of their work in the 1990s.

Interesting site. Also took a look at top 1000 best albums and top 3000 best songs or whatever it was. Veeeery interesting. Surprising to see the Velvet Underground and Nirvana so high up the lists.
