I love the first Jake Bugg album. Noel says its like Dylan meets the Arctic Monkeys but to me, it feels more like the Las and early Bee Gees. But that's just me. The second album is decent.

Jake Bugg is a terrible act and I hate it. He never looks interested, he never shows any charisma and just looks miserable all the time, when he's not pretending to be baked that is. I bet his record company buy his cigarettes for him!
There's some decent tunes on the first album (Seen It All and Lightning Bolt spring to mind) but mainly his songs are fuckin' boring. Its funny how he slags off all these X Factor winners and what not when he's just as bad.

He doesn't seem any different from N&L who both aren't afraid to strike out at artists. Some of you are acting like JB didn't sign your autograph or something, such weird hatred.

I don't like him because he's fake and he's striking out at artists that are the same as him but aimed at different markets i.e One Direction are aimed at little girls. There's nothing at all likeable about the guy.

Except Bugg actually has acclaim and has received praise from top tier legends such as Bob Dylan and Elton John, not to mention our boy Noel. No matter how much you don't like him its pointless to lump him with One Direction...

Come on,he just probably looked at him and thought it's good that young generation still use acoustic guitars and it's all he knows about him. And yes he makes me laugh, i don't want his autograph.

He didn't sign my pair of desert boots back in 2011 so I've got no time for him.

wow so much hate for the kid. I think he's alright, he has some good songs and can play guitar. The only thing I don't like is his voice. Maybe I'll check him out again when he hits puberty.

Jake Bugg is a total fake to me. The whole idea seems to be perfect , a bit post Gallagherish, british kid playin' folky catchy tunes about being a young lad and all. Sounds great, sounds like i should have a drink with him. But there's this unknown part of it that i can't stand. Don't know really what it is. It's just fake. I like the Two Fingers tune though i have to say. But this kid irritates me. And why don't he even has a proper band, he ? He's 19 and he can't afford to find three mates of his school to put a proper band together and have fun playing gigs? Who do he think he is ? Bob Dylan ? Guess i'm not the only one who can't stand him. He said that he don't like playing festivals. Yes of course you don't you little prick because that's where you need to face the god damn crowd who didn't noticed you won Brits Awards only for the case of nobody else out there who they can give it to apart from Alex Turner. I'm sorry, i just really don't like Jake Bugg. I'm waiting for some real band to arrive and let this kid be gone soon. The Fact he's just like the X factors and pop star wannabe's he's also taking swings at, he has professional co writers writing his tunes. Come on kid, Noel Gallagher,Paul Weller, Damon Albarn and Alex Turner didn't call in the professionals when they were writing classic tunes. The Whole wanna be Gallagher-ish lad stick is becoming tiring, it just looks fake and has become a thing in British music I find really sicken right now. Especially when Posh or middle class are trying to pull it off. What do you mean Real Band? come on the last band that carried any sway for me were Arctic Monkeys, who else has come close since. You won't get another Oasis or Stone Roses that time is long gone sadly. Far too many spoiled teens out there with nothing good to say. when did collaboration become a negative?

Nothing wrong with collaboration, but is it really collaboration when these guys are being paid to write songs with him? I'm actually more bothered by the way he claims to think all these X Factor lot are fake and not real music, when he's basically Justin Bieber with an acoustic guitar! Okay, that may have been a slight exxageration but my point is valid.

To be brutally honest, I think the guy's a phoney - he goes all 'Gallagher-esque' and blasts all these pop stars for being 'shit' and 'talentless'..... and then I find out he has co-writers with him, no better than Beyonce and co who do just the same.
This whole 'rebel and independent' image makes him a fraud and a hypocrite personally, considering his success isn't self made. I don't like his voice, and his songs are tuneless and unoriginal - the way I see it's all just about image and style rather than genuine talent, which makes him no better than those he criticises.
He's a young guy so I'm willing to give him a chance. I'd like to think the more he matures he gets rid of co-writers and that he becomes a bit more modest - maybe then he'll have a future.

Jake is a folk and rock artist, not a pop artist who needs carisma and make a big show on the stage, he's motivated to make music, btw I met the band on a flight. They are keen on metal, punk-rock and blues music, they are real 100%. Jake is shy but very kind thats all.
