It's clearly deliberate now. What other motivation is there for playing songs alone on an acoustic guitar in an empty arena?

It's clearly deliberate now. What other motivation is there for playing songs alone on an acoustic guitar in an empty arena? He said it helps him writting a song. In 2009, he didn't realised that he was reccorded and was amazed by all the soundhceck videos on youtube. But now in 2012, he's fully aware that he's reccorded when he does that. I really don't understand why the videos got deleted.

He says he loves playing them in empty halls because the echo makes it sound awesome. Probably like playing in a massive bathroom. He's been doing it for years, at least since the DBTT tour. Don't imagine he is doing it now deliberately for us to hear them...I just think that he is unwilling to modify a activity that he obviously enjoys because it may go onto the internet. It's probably just the managment being overzealous. Having IIHAG, ASGOG, EOTR on the net for years before HFB didn't do it any harm though...so they are being a bit ridiculous

Dodgy, incomplete recordings recorded on a mobile is one thing, excellent quality IEM recordings is another. I'm not surprised they've been taken down, they are already legally copyrighted to Noel and probably his publishers as well. Noel's people having them taking down from YouTube means someone's not happy about it...

Noel isn't all thereto be honest when it comes to piracy, leaked songs, internet etc. The other day in an interview he said "thank god people can't download a gig at least"... I thought, "he's in for a shock"

The other day in an interview he said "thank god people can't download a gig at least"... I thought, "he's in for a shock" Chances are he meant the actual experience of being at a gig, interacting at concerts with other fans and the band which you'd never get from a bootleg. I'm sure he is aware that fans share recordings of NGHFB and Oasis live concerts.

I'm positive he has talked about searching for bootlegs of live Stone Roses concerts because he saw them for the first time way before the first album was released. He definitely knows what a live bootleg is Have to be a TOTAL dunce not to. Live bootlegs have been around longer than the internet.

I think he should re-arrange he chord progression though on makes me wanna cry... Release that and he'll come under fire for them sounding the same. He should be abit more daring.

Interesting. I'd say maybe Noel's people want to keep it quiet, but honestly I think he may be playing new stuff at soundchecks intentionally with the hope it gets recorded - he saw how much free publicity IIHAG generated. And we know MMWC/Catch the Sun (which I'm really loving) has been played at least three times in different countries. Catch the Sun...I like that much better than It Makes Me Wanna Cry as a title I like Makes Me Wanna Cry much better. It's different. Catch the Sun is just another song to me. Makes Me Wanna Cry catches my attention. Especially when it's coming from NG.

MMWC I can hear being the next reocrd's IIHAG, maybe more so. With Dave Sardy's production, a flurry of strings and a choir/horns, some booming drums, a guitar solo, and it'd sound absolutely mind blowing.

'It Makes Me Wanna Cry' is called 'The Dying Of The Light'! You heard it here first Source: French Radio RTL2 Interview Noel Said he was not really pleased that people record the soundchecks because "it spoils it for the fans", and that 4 songs of the next album are on the Internet.

Four songs online? Freaky Teeth, God Help Us All, The Dying Of the Light and what's the other? Revolution Song maybe? I don't think Noel is referencing Freaky Teeth since it is on the AA and been played many many times on TV broadcasts and radio since October. He knows that song is floating around and people are eating it up. Most likely he means God Help Us All, The Dying of the Light and Bye Bye My Family (Or whatever it will be called). Revolution Song has been bootlegged since 2000 and he knows about that too. Not sure what the 4th song is though. Anymore soundcheck clips we know about?
