You can hear some of "It Makes Me Wanna Cry" in this clip at 0:31 in behind Noel's talking. You can hear what sounds like the melody of the first line. This is hope for a finished version. Can't tell if the chords match up to the chords in the beginning of the video also. Anybody else think so?

Yeah i'm not super impressed with GHUA. The studio version would have to have a lot of help from some cool instrumentation for me to go back to it. Just doesn't have lasting appeal. I wasn't excited back in 05 when we first heard clips of it and I'm not all that excited now after hearing the whole thing.
The other one is alright as well. Could be a really good ballad, but those songs don't appeal to me like they used to. I'll take Freaky Teeth on repeat over either of these.

God Help Us All still sounds unfinished after all these years... Yeah, great song but lazy stuff like "Singing out sha la la la la" still grates. It's actually a bitter, nasty song from what I can make out of the lyrics. The arrangement he's playing here suggests sadness rather than anger. It's just not quite working yet. IT MAKES ME WANNA CRY is quite beautiful. |

GHUA is a bit meh. Always thought so. I was glad when it wasn't one of the 10 HFB tunes. I agree that it'd be better as a b-side. I love "It makes me wanna cry" though. It's truly beautiful. Can't wait to get an album version provided it's done well. Listening to these makes me wish that Noel's next album was less a "kitchen sink" production and more a stripped down acoustic or semi acoustic album. Something more intimate sounding. There is something magical about Noel, his acoustic guitar, and a melody. |

If that's actually the right name it's blatantly called 'It Makes Me (Wanna Cry)'. Top tune though. Nice to have some decent quality soundchecks for once.

I love God Help Us All. Imagine big drums, electrics and a brass section on it. It would be a live favourite for sure.
I really hope both are on the next album. I would rather an album of this sort of stuff than the AA album. I think he'll whack Freeky Teath on his album instead of the AA one.
