Why are people rating as though it belongs in the Oasis catalogue?
I don't rate Lennon/Macca/Harrison/Ringo solo work against Beatles records, that just seem ridiculous to me. But to each their own.

it'd have been a very poor rating if it wasn't for a couple of amazing songs(EOTR, IIHAG).
Too many so-so tracks and a couple of uninspired songs(AKA WAL/TDOYAM).
Still a very solid album, good effort from Noel.
As of now it's a 7.5 for me.

I gave it an 8 simply because of the over production. Song wise it'd be a ten. This is the only album I've found hard to listen to because of the production.

Yep, 7+ is a great rating on first listen. I don't see how any album could approach a 9 or 10 after only an hour or so. To me those ratings are reserved for albums that really have a big impact on my life, that I'm pretty much never going to stop listening to. DM and MG qualify, they've done the mileage.

I voted for 9/10. Based on number of tracks I love (5), it's a 10/10. Based on the mean rating of each individual track, it's a shade over 8. Meet in the middle and you have my vote! Reserve the right to change that as we go along of course  |

the only way it'd be anything close to a 9 or a 10 would be IF all the tracks were of the same caliber as EOTR and IIHAG, i mean even the latter isn't a 9 or 10, it's a 8.5 for me. the song isn't exactly perfect.
So... clearly the rest of the album isn't up to par with the songs previously mentioned. COuld someone then tell me just how the fuck one could rate this album a 9 or a 10 ?
especially with the fillers and the ridiculous crap that is AKA WAL ?
