I won't be surprised if STC is my favorite off the album... Just from the clip, that song has gone from, "Meh, it's good.. but kinda drags a bit" to "OMG! This is too good to be true!" That's how I feel about it right now. And it's not like I don't know what to expect from the full song. So yeah, I can't wait to hear the whole thing. Just my two cents... reminds me of playing Shadow and the Collussus in HD.... ALOT better experience than the ps2 version (off topic i know) Exactly. |

Love the strings on RM. They could have picked at better 30s clip of EOTR. The whole lot sounds great though.

I'm getting a bit of a Champagne Supernova feeling of Record Machine here to be honest. I know, I know, one should be careful comparing other songs with the Oasis classics, but still... Not saying it'll be better or anything like that, but I think it'll be one of my favorites on the new album, as I really love the demo version. Of the new songs, I think Dream On and Broken Arrow is the one I liked best. Dream On sounds like it could be a huge song, and I liked the melody on Broken Arrow. Can't wait to hear them in full next week, or whenever the hell this album will leak  |

Although I'm not fully impressed with the clips after TWO listens I Have to Admit.. Stop The Clocks and Record Machine sound fucking great. Due to the over playing of the demo's of them these were looking the most skipable tracks but now they could be the most played.
(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach sounds mega.

i have just checked the 30 second previews out and they've made me want to hear the full versions even more, there are bound to be songs i prefer more then others but i think it's impossible to tell from songs we haven't heard in full just how good they are
i'm looking forward to hearing Stop The Clocks & AKA... Broken Arrow more then others at the moment, Stop The Clocks for its hype over the years (i loved the version from DBTT) and AKA... Broken Arrow because Noel stated it was inspired by Donovan
i have also changed my order from the CD version to the CD+DVD version of the album based on the recently released songs and 30 second previews
if the album should leak i probably will download it but i quite like the anticipation of waiting for the album and the 7 songs already out will keep me going until release day should the album not surface before hand

This sounds great. I mean, without knowing EOTR, RM and STC we would've been blown away by them. STC sounds unbelievable. I think i would've preferred LTLSALOM to change the mood (SOTRB or SBAJF). Dream on is such a singalong already.

STC and EOTR are the instant standouts. First impressions are good not great. I still wish 'Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me' was the album closer.

Impressed with the clips but don't want to get too excited off just 30 seconds.
Personally I thought Dream On, STC & Stranded on the wrong beach sounded the best but I know that EOTR is going to be awesome, can't fucking wait to hear that song.
The "weak" song to me was Soldier Boys..... but as I say after 30 seconds it would be silly to write it off.

I''m not going to bother listening to them, 30 sec previews kind of ruined the first listen for DGSS for me so I'm going to skip these, won't be long till we hear the album in full anyway.

Ive decided not to listen to them. Normally i would have jumped at the chance but the fact we are going to have the full album by wednesday i dont think its worth it.
This will be the first time in years i havnt heard preview clips before the full thing.

Listened to about 5 seconds of RM, dont want to be a negative Nigel but has Noel taken out the triple track effect on his voice on the verses? That was one of the great things about the demo, almost like a hymn effect.
