It's as good as DLBIA. This stands up with his finest work. It may not mean as much to people as his 90s songs, but that's not because of the quality.
This song is absolutely fantastic in every sense.

As much as I love Liam and the boys, Noel's songwriting has been missed.
I will say, with all the music coming out of both camps, its been a phenomenal year.

After listening to it everyday since its airplay, I have to say that it's still amazing... I remember I said I'd give it a 9.5/10, but now maybe a 9/10 because I feel the production of it kind of kills it at times. It's like it's too edgy at some points, where it should be nice and sweet... I don't know, still love it though.

Love the song, and the new bits of lyric, but wish he had kept it more mellow, and acoustic. I like the harder take on it, but the really haunting beauty is lost to me in this rocked up version. I imagine he will play it acoustically on tour eventually, I'm really looking forward to that version. Overall 9/10 for the song in general, really great song. but 6/10 for the emotional resonance of this version. Maybe I'm being picky.

That one note being played during the 'ahh ahh' bits is just stupid. That section should be ethereal but instead there's this horrible electric note being repeated in the background. Really messed up with the production on this one, don't care what anyone says.

I think I can definitely hear a female backing singer around the 2:30 mark on the song. Very faint but it is there.

I see why people hear Liam on the verses, but he would struggle mightily with the chorus. The thing I don't get about longing to hear Liam sing Noel's new songs is...well, Liam's not as good as Noel is anymore. He was absolutely untouchable around 1995, but that was a long, long time ago now.

maybe liam could sing this on the album. but he wouldn't hit the notes live. and thats more important for me these days. that's one reason why i hate the production of DGSS, because liams voice is so clean and overproduced it sounds horrible live
