too early to judge(obviously). Couldn't say it sounds promising like some of you but ... i guess it all comes down to wether you like that kind of style. I don't totally love FD per se, but i know there's a select few that think it's the hottest shit on the face of the earth so there you go. Noel's not gonna please everybody, hell, i don't think he's trying to please anyone other than himself really.
It goes without saying that once we hear the final version with guitats+drums+vocals, it'll sound totally different but i believe he's going the Falling Down route and i can't say im too happy about it. However, i wouldn't even dream of predicting what the album will be like based on the first single we hear. I was so disappointed and straight up afraid/sad when i firs heard Bring The Crap, then of course BDI's album turned out quite good.

I seriously can't wait for Noel's album. This first one has the potential to be one of the best of year. If some of you are afraid of this album (the High Flying Birds one) then I cannot wait to hear yalls reaction to the AA produced album. I have a feeling its gonna split/go right over a lot of Oasis and BDI fans heads, no disrespect. With both albums, I love that Noel is making music he wants to make not music that a bunch of Oasis fanboys want.

I can't believe for over a year and a half after the split we just assumed Noel was sitting on his ass being a lazy fucker, when in actuality he was toiling away masterminding a goddamn SYMPHONY of an album.
Well played Noel Gallagher, well played.

Noel always played it safe. He never swayed too far outfield in Oasis. Nothing too shocking (maybe Idler's Dream only because there is no guitars in it). The electric kettle will be the most experimental.
Also i hope the Amorphous Androgynous won't share the name of the title of the artist Noel Gallagher on the second album. I just want to see their name in tiny letters on the back or the last page of the cd booklet.
I pray to god AA doesn't suffer the same kitchiness as the Polyphonic Spree. Can you imagine if Oasis made an album with them back in 2002 when they were NME's latest fad??

LoL. Now there's an image I never thought I'd see. But I'm really looking forward to hearing him play Some Might Say on that banjo.

Sounds epic, really good infact. I just hope that this is a stripped version of the song, and is featured on the album
Favourite part being 4:10 onwards

I dont think I have ever anticipated an albums release as much as I have this one! In DM there was no anticipation at all. (WTS)MG it was still all relatively new to me, so again, not much anticipation. BHN had a great big build up and was an exciting time to be in the UK and loved the album and still love the album even though it got slated. SOTSOG and HC I loved at the time but now they are a little boring, if not interesting to return to. DBTT was great as was DOYS.
But I think this will be colossal!!! I already have the feeling this could be one of my favourite albums ever and that is worrying...as there are now only two ways it can go for me. A) as I thought or B) I will be dissapointed. Lets hope its not the latter.

I think Noel is on the verge of releasing the definitive album of the year. The hype machine is full force now, this should be colossal.

I don't think there's a hype machine going on too much.
Noel isn't running his mouth as much as expected, I think he's going to let the music speak for itself.

don't know. if the music is better than what oasis released over the past years, maybe there will be a hype in britain. don't see it when it's just a bit more than average. but EOTR sounds promising

CANT WAIT for the album !!! dying to hear a finished 'If i had a gun' !
2 things strike me about the choir/strings -
A) it reminds me a lot of STAR WARS
B) the 'choir' reminds me off the SOTSG DEMOS - though they we're obviously electronic/keyboards - not an actual human choir which i presume & hope this is !!!!!
though i have to say, i DIDNT like the fake choir on the above demos & i also didnt enjoy the choir at the albert hall (or think they we're effective or needed)& i was sitting right beside them
The soundcheck layed over the top gives a pretty good idea - props to Jono & the others for the sync work etc !!!
its gonna be a good album

I actually bumped into Noel at an Ennio Morricone concert last April, seems he picked up a few ideas that night! It sounds epic, but I don't have the crazy, bouncing off walls 'you have got to hear THIS' excitement just yet. Certainly a promising start though, and only a few hours until we get a full song
