Im pretty sure in the original he probably sings two "Everybody is on the run" instead of four times... Yes, he sings a variant of "on the run" twice. Sorry, I've got "everybody's on the run" ringing through my head here, been working on this thing for an hour now.

BTW- Haven't posted in a while... I've been checking forums everyday however and I love you all!! (Cheerfully). Good times ahead.. Lets enjoy them eh!?

Argh, this is going to be an absolute bitch to mix. Basically the soundcheck chorus has to be sped up by around 13% to match up. But I think the verses run slower - maybe around 10-11% faster than the soundcheck. This is going to take someone with immense, skill, patience and more importantly, real experience to mix these into something correct. Don't think that person is me, unfortunately.

This song got me all sentimental, thinking of the tragic day we've had in Norway today I'll always think of this day when I hear this song now, and that's not a bad thing. It will be an absolute masterpiece!

Exactly what software are you using? I used to use Acid 3.0 by sonic foundry. You could beat map each audio track. By doing this, you can both mimic the tempo of each track and split each into quatrains. By matching the tempo, you do not necessarily change the pitch. Rather, you preserve it through a particular setting. By splitting the audio into quatrains, you can cell code the audio to remain in sync... I dont have the program any more... maybe i can dig up something though but it wont be til tommorow as i should in fact be studying for a praxis exam..

Christ, I'm still on Cool Edit 2000, which just use for basic editing and even more basic mixing! I really am working to an absolute primitive form of mixing, purely by ear. I have no experience in beat mapping and all of that gear. All I know is that the soundcheck version will have to be sped up in different stages for it all to be in sync - it's definitely not a case of speeding it up by 14% and just putting them both together.

I see. save yourself the trouble and forget about syncing the two tracks. Without adequate software, you'll find that its more trouble than its worth. I might try to locate my old installation disk and work on it this weekend. I think i speak for all of us though when i say thanks for trying.

if somebody can send me the .mp3 or .wav of both then I can sync it up for everyone. I'm a professional audio engineer.

so this is the official track without vocals? just the inst. of it? It's just the choir and strings. Plenty more layers to be added onto that...guitar, bass, drums, vocals, electric kettle etc

Trying to act like Liam, be all eccentric, cool and funny is not a good look especially when you are clearly none of those things.

Oh fuckyeah.
This is more than a "I'm just in it for the music. Hey guys, pick up a guitar, choose 3 chords, and some cool sounding words. It worked for Definitely Maybe, I reckon this one is our ticket back up!"
He's fucking working it. I might even spend actual money on this album.
