Jono got footage of me in my ecstasy era: 1998-2000.
Before I realised drum and bass was a bit repetitive.

This is awesome. Great interpretation of the song with that mix! Looking forward to this album. And at one point I wasn't a fan of Everybody's on the Run.....but now I see the potential.
This album is going to be epic

Who said the Oasis split was a bad thing? If that had to happen for us to get from High Horse Lady to this, then it was about time.
Heavenly.

Who said the Oasis split was a bad thing? If that had to happen for us to get from High Horse Lady to this, then it was about time. Heavenly. Disagree. As mentioned, HHL was meant as a b-side. Also, Noel did say he had the next Oasis album practically done at the time of DOYS (and I believe him....of course, it may have changed, but I believe what he said to be true at the time). And we know about half the album, at least, was written when Oasis were still together, and at the very least 2 songs of which were penned for Oasis releases (STC and RM). We also know Noel was wanting to throw the kitchen sink at their 7th album, but Sardy convinced him otherwise, so I don't think it's unreasonable to think that the 8th album would have this kind of sound..... Frankly, I think the 8th Oasis album was leading to something special, but instead of that we have a Noel solo album which will be brilliant, too.

This sounds like something Ennio Morricone would have written! Glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. It does sound a lot like Morricone.

Let It Bleed and Bonkers Go Large - now there's a party film that would be worth watching.

You do realise on all of your efforts, you're way out of sync for most of the song? Your around 10 seconds out at that point. I think a good starting point to work from is the bit where the choir come in at 1:54, lines up with "hang in there love", which is at 1:49 on the soundcheck. Then you've got to speed up the soundcheck version somewhat, which is where all the problems come in. I might give it another go. EDIT: Sorry if that comes out a bit snotty, by the way. Hard to point out where you're going wrong without sounding a bit rude.

sure members who are a dab hand at this sort of stuff will be able to get it more in sync
you sound like you know what yer on about and can judge it better
All I've have done is basically played them both side by side in Audacity and hoped for the best

This sounds like the kitchen sink Noel. Why did you have to keep it hidden away the last few Oasis albums?

I might actually do it I'm sorry, we're going to need more commitment than that. I already did a rough "demo" of it, I have plenty of ideas and will record it as soon as I get home

Right, time to put my money where my mouth is, here's a mix of the first chorus. Sped up the soundcheck version by around 13% to match the tempo of the orchestral version. soundcloud.com/deadman9/everybodys-on-the-run-chorusIt's not quite there, just needs some fine tuning. Do think the structure of the song has changed as well - the bit that should come before that, the four bars of "everybody's on the run" just doesn't sound right with the orchestral backing.

Spot on mate!! Im pretty sure in the original he probably sings two "Everybody is on the run" instead of four times...
