Just read the latest NME (and this point is relevant to virtually every NME from this year...) and I've noticed loads of little sly comments. Yet when they reviewd the album with a band interview and did a live review, they virtually sucked Liam off and said they were good?
I've noticed the readers don't really like BE but the mag seems to feature Liam a lot. Why are NME/It's readers against Beady Eye then when they've actually stated that their music is good?

Well I know what Liam would say. It's cause Noel has influence over the press.

Noel is the newest thing, they want to sell whatever is the newest thing so yo do the maths.

NME has this praise-->slag pattern :/
As for plenty of readers not liking Liam/BDI and NME featuring them a lot nonetheless... a friend of mine got some insight into the selling figures of NME and apparently the recent Liam/BDI covers have been among top selling issues. So like or hate them, people seem to buy NME when a Gallagher is featured.

They slag everything that isn't solely dependent on them to hype them.

Lets be honest... to most NME readers (I'm guessing their readership is approx 15 to 25) Beady Eye - and Oasis before they split - are dinosaurs.

I was really upset with the latest cover, I mean seriously?? The man is coming out with a solo album, its a music mag... not a tabloid...maybe Noel shouldn't have said it, but come on its about the music isn't it??...............yea I know its not ...

Beady Eye are tantalisingly easy to mock. They can't mock Noel because he agreed to do an interview with him, so they'll mock Liam instead.
Weren't NME always negative towards Oasis anyway - particularly in the later years?

NME readers hate most things... They hate pretty much anything that isn't Muse, in fact... I read NME... And whenever I see NME post something on Facebook about Beady Eye, Noel, Kasabian, Viva Brother (DON'T SLAG ME OFF FOR LIKING THEM!), etc,... The people who "like" the page ALWAYS slag them off... So I just go back at them and have a go and tell them how bone idol they are... They're the teenagers that think they are part of this non-existent scene called "indie"... In other words... Wankers

...cause a 30someting singer and his friends after 20 years in a big band, rformed a new band and released a debut album that its probably the best indie/rock album in uk that year, something that all the rest NME (promoted) bands can achieve only in their dreams...

Why would NME like BDI? There is no reason to really.

Why would NME like BDI? There is no reason to really. true. just on the musical aspect, there isn't a big reason to like beady eye. and the personal aspect is easy to explain. liam isn't a smartass and not really easy to like when the music he predict to be the best out there isn't the best. so his self-confidence is just nonsens. you can't create a monster as a media without any reason

They're all too busy listening to The Horrors and other boring shite in a desperate attempt to be cool and different and escape from their pathetic middle class lives and mummy and daddy.
Beady Eye/Oasis/Kasabian are far too mainstream for that. Always love winding them up on the comments bit under the story and I would advise others on here to do the same.

This reminded me of this page I saw on Facebook yesterday haha... And it's so true!!! "The dilemma indie kids face when their favourite band becomes mainstream" www.facebook.com/pages/The-dilemma-indie-kids-face-when-their-favourite-band-becomes-mainstream/158107667544381TBH, regarding that, I'd be over the moon if some of my favourite bands that are indie (by that, I mean independent and unsigned- not the "indie" scene) like Modern Faces and The Lysergic Suite went mainstream. It would be great if, when The Lysergic Suite release their album in August, it got into the top 40... And they got bigger... Its great knowing that a band you followed from the beginning made it... I'm always really proud when Kasabian get an award or chart high... Because I know that I was with them before they hit it big with WRPLA... And I know that I was part of the army that helped them go forward and make a real living out of what they love... Indie kids are wankers RANT OVER

Unless that's the worst attempt as spelling Kasabian I've ever seen then you're talking total bull... Kasabian have been massive since Club Foot and LSF.

No, they may have made a name for themselves with those songs, but they didn't become big enough to headline festivals, sub-headline for Bruce Springsteen at Glastonbury, Support Oasis at Wembley, sell out 3 nights at Wembley arena and win "best band in the world" award for Q Magazine until WRPLA... I think we have different opinions on what being "big" is... To me, "big" is not being known... It's being able to prove with ease that you can sell records, headline festivals, win awards, etc...

They won best live act in 2007, well before WRPLA... they've been "big" since Kasabian and "really big" since Empire. In no way did Kasabian become "big" or "mainstream" after WRPLA, Empire got to no. 1 and sold well over a million copies.

Because you touch yourself at night.
Sorry, I've been holding off on that comment for days and it just had to be said. I apology, as always.
If it's any consolation, I loathe Family Guy. Worst. Show. Ever. And grossly overrated.

No Did they support Oasis at Wembley Stadium? No Did they sell out 3 nights at Wembley Arena? No. Did they get the award for being best band in the world? No. I'm not slagging Kasabian off or anything, I love them. All I'm saying is that it was WRPLA that really got everyone's attention... It was WRPLA that everyone picked up on... I mean, I admit, yeah, Empire got them noticed by a far few people... but it took WRPLA to get everyone to realise what was going on and how much talent they have...
