So more anecdotal evidence then Stop going on about anecdotal evidence, these things can't be just measured by album sales etc. It's about the impact and the buzz that happens, too. One can't measure that by scientific number evidences or whatever it is you're after. If about everyone I know, and several people here too, say that most people never spoke about Kasabian until WRPLA, it does mean they stepped up on the ladder with that album. Yes they were big band with two earlier ones, WRPLA just took it to another level. They're now there listed next to Coldplay, Muse etc by people when talking about biggest British bands, that wasn't the case a few years ago. Yeah lets ignore actual evidence and look at "buzz" and conversations you've had with your friends...

No I'm not ignoring actual evidence I agreed with it, that they were big with Kasabian and Empire. But I don't think the other evidence which you call anecdotal should be ignored.

Jesus.......that's like the Rebecca Black - Friday of guitar music Then you do not know much about music, my dear friend. Should be noted that this was supposed to be a b-side, and it's a quite catchy tune. Myself, I can't wait until their next single, which I suppose have better lyrics as it was supposed to be an a-side all along.

Must say don't think much of The Kayas:( The singer's voice especially isn't my thing. And yeah they're trying too hard with all those style issues etc, I mean honestly, it looks like Oasis tribute band in the shots where union jack guitar is included.
Nah, Kasabian for me all the way.

1. The singer's voice especially isn't my thing. 2. And yeah they're trying too hard with all those style issues etc, I mean honestly, it looks like Oasis tribute band in the shots where union jack guitar is included. 1. Exact same thing I thought about Morrisey before I actually started to get into The Smiths 2. Oasis... Beatles.... just mentioning You over there who said BDI are dogshit... get out of this subforum, as you do not belong here. Go and post something positive about Noel in the High Flying Birds subforum instead. We don't need you being all negative about his brother here in the BDI subforum.

To the person using this thread to promote The Kayas...get out of this subforum, as you do not belong here. Go and post something about that band in the Rock'n'Roll Star subforum instead. We don't need you promoting shite here in the BDI subforum.

To all those promoting Kasabian... GET THE HE*L OUTTA HERE!
Edit: Actully, I just stood up for them. IDK why you said that, but in the end Kayas are way better than Rebekka Black. Hell, I'd even prefer Bieber over her, and he just sings real shi*e. IMO, British Indie and Alternative is the real music, and Kayas happens to be an Indie band.
For you who dunno what IMO means: In My Opinion

I don't like acronyms. I won't use any here.
The NME doesn't like Beady Eye in the same way that I don't like Beady Eye. They're extremely, extremely average. They're not great, they're not everlasting. Sure, some people might love them (like some people like Snow Patrol), but they're not an incredible band.
If you think my opinion is unfounded, listen to "Millionaire" live on David Letterman. It's up on youtube. It's pitiful at worst, extremely average at best.

I think average is the best way to describe Beady Eye, so far.

IEO, the Kayas are shite. For you who dunno what IEO means: In Everyone's Opinion I see there is no reason to discuss this with you, as you do not use fair arguments at all. And clearly, that statement is wrong, something I proved, but you obivioulsy do not want to see. But I won't force you to either, so instead I'm chosing to think of your a bit rude comments as trolling. Makes me feel better.

And I brought them up because you guys were talking about Kasabian, which I think is a shit band (and be honest... they suck fresh balljuice). I said I prefered those. You don't like 'em? I don't fuckin care. They're a good band and that's what I need to know. And to be honest, I don't have to like a band to say that they are good. An example is the Sex Pistols. I don't like them, but thay are a good band still. So you guys might not like it, but it's still a good band. End of discussion.

I have no problem with someone thinking Kasabian is shit (it merely means they have only listened to the singles and not bothered with album tracks/B-Sides), but to think The Kayas are a great band is just wrong Anyway to go back on topic...... Leave the NME do whatever they like....it's not like anybody is paying attention anyway.

I think Kayas are a great band, you do not. Can't we just leave it like that!
Fucker!
And NME does lots of wierd things, including naming a 'Villain of the year' and so on. That's your answer.

But yeah, NME talk shit just to sell magazines. That's why they hate them
