(it merely means they have only listened to the singles and not bothered with album tracks/B-Sides) AAAAHHH! JULIE! JULIE!
They opened with that when I saw them in Dublin 2 years ago and it was quality. The crowd went nuts

Who gives a fookin fook what the NME says anymore? (shit, who gives a fook what anybody says, even?) No one gives a "fook" what you have to say, so why are you still talking? Riddle me that.

1) Guys, who gives a fuck? Go buy a good magazine, like Classic Rock (who I believe gave DGSS 6/10 in their review, I can't remember though, I know DOYS got a glowing 8/10) 2) Every magazine has multiple writers, some will like Beady Eye, some won't - there is no unified view 3) It's possible to like a band and still find fault. For instance most people would agree Black Sabbath's 1970s albums were groundbreaking. But most people would also agree Ozzy's a doddery old man now.
I for one, would say: * Liam gives a great interview, but he also says things he shouldn't * The album's great, it's nice to see a revival of b-sides, but I don't think it's a patch on ANY Oasis album * The band's probably really tight live, but the short sets are bullshit given they're charging a full gig fee for it and I think they only have a single support act * The album clearly wasn't just made up of Oasis leftovers/rejects, but at the same time with them having never put out so many songs before, I ponder how long their creativity will last without Noel (G/A/B writing credits in the last decade: 2000 - 1 song, 2002 - 6 songs, 2005 - 10 songs, 2008 - 7 songs, 2011 - 17 songs). They'll have exhausted their backlock of songs now, and have to write an album from scratch - Liam's never done that in his life.
It's entirely possible to be a fan and still have a critical eye, and I suspect NME are the same. Other than that - they're out to earn a living, comments aren't personal.
