And like I said on this forum back in August 2009, both brothers should go solo. Don’t form another “band” with the remaining Oasis guys. New start. The gallagher brand is so strong. Agreed. But let's not pretend when 1 person leaves Oasis and the most recognisable person in Oasis is still fronting them tht it's ever gonna be classed as anything other than Oasis minus Noel. It's pie in the sky stuff to say it was a new band as if it was the Style Council or something. Liam’s words not mine.

But i respected the fact it was a few lads writing their own tunes and putting thair balls on the line like that. They no longer had the business savy dictatorship of Noel around which undoubtedly they needed - but i respected the way they went about it all the same. Noel knew playing half Oasis songs in his set filled an Oasis void that he'd made happen. He knew Liam having a band playing none of those songs was just more ticket sales for him. Let's put the quality of HFB and Beady Eye aside for a minute, that on its own gives Noel the arenas and Liam the nightclub capacity venues. Believe it or not, you dont sell 20,000 tickets because you've released The Death Of You and Me. Taking away Oasis from their brand is bad enough, but Gallagher too? Suicide. It's like if Oasis got back together tomorrow their reach and brand would be bigger than what either of them could do alone just as Liam or Noel Gallagher.

Being a solo artist is a different animal than being in a band. Noel wrote 99% of Oasis biggest and most well known songs. It’s only natural for solo artists who use to be in huge bands would play their famous band material too. Especially if they are the ones who wrote it. Even seen McCartney a bunch of times, the best moments are no doubt The Beatles moments. I’ve seen Eddie Vedder solo. Same deal. Or Lou Reed.

Even seen McCartney a bunch of times, the best moments are no doubt The Beatles moments. I’ve seen Eddie Vedder solo. Same deal. Or Lou Reed. Exactly. Which is why it is disingenuous of you (and Noel) to think Liam didn't need that. Like i say we should stop this laughable idea that Oasis minus Noel with all these same bandmates and a frontman who's only ever been known as the man from Oasis will ever been received as a new band. It's okay Noel bashing Liam for playing half an Oasis set now, i quote "no one from his fucking label is saying just play the new stuff are they". Well Noel you didn't do anything different either. Liam playing just Beady Eye songs is effectively every Mccartney, Eddie Vedder or Lou Reed gig you've ever been to without all those songs played. Just because it was classed as a new band doesn't mean you should blindly overlook what people wanted from Liam Gallagher. There's no way playing 2 oasis songs in a set was what ended them.

From the debut up until Velociraptor they made some really cool stuff, they lost it after that and I thought Serge's solo debut was much more interesting than anything they did post 2011 Still a shame about what happened, you're not gonna get away with it in 2020 (and rightly so)

Judging by the sappy dross that followed, I'd say it was Kasabian who became pussies. Good first album, never has a band failed spectacularly to live up to its promise though. Then they became loutish c*nts and their music turned into a reflection of their sad sack lives. The fact their knuckle dragging monkey of a lead singer was outed as a woman beater was sadly not in the least bit surprising.

Talking about anxiety, Tom was mentally not well for years, someone could have helped him. And when I said someone, his so called mates from band first.
It's such a shame when it was so obvious, you could watch some interview for two minutes and see that guy has problems. He is still idiot and woman beater and not that ill that he can't control himself but level of control is really much lower when you are not mentally well.
There is no fucking excuse for what he did but other members are now like surprised and shocked and are kicking him out of the band... Maybe I am wrong but I am sure that those things just don't happen like that. Like it was one time thing. Yeah sure. Maybe he was not beating woman but probably has history of aggressive behavior and someone could do something about it.

Even their first album done nothing for me. A one dimensional band. A riff band. Oasis without the song craft.
It was always sticking out like a sore thumb that Tom was a mental patient. He should get serious help judging by his recent interview.

Club Foot is one of my favourite songs from Kasabian's first album and it's such a good song.

Mental illness or not, Tom Meighan was always a charmless scumbag.
So that explains his behaviour, not mental illness.

Still no news on their next movement. I’d rather they called it a day than continue with Serge as front man. Someone on Twitter claiming to know Tom Meighan said he’s in a bad way at the moment. Probably not as bad as the women he's beaten.
