Meh, kind of... But it doesn't ruin the sound... If anything, it makes it better in songs like LSF

its a typical kasabian effort for me. decent, nothing special. With this being their 4th effort I think I've finally come to terms in just accepting that they are an average band in my books and I'll stop expecting them anything more than that. Their debut still remains their best. They have some tunes but in my humble opinion they won't make an album that will be one of my favorite albums of all time Cast speaks the truth, couldn't have put it any better.

I Loved West Ryder, a wee bit more, 'Fire' is one of my all time favourite songs, Plus it was relased at a great time in my life. I'll never ever forget where i was when i heard 'Underdog' for the first time. New Album is great but i prefer West Ryder slightly.

With that being said I still think the does band pack a punch and I'll give this album a couple more spins just to see if my opinion changes. i'll admit I'm mildly annoyed that when ever i go on this forum, this topic is the only thing being talked about in the "rock n roll" section though but i'm not gonna do anything to stop that so I'll just shut up haha. You basically described my feelings on Kings Of Leon.

If anything, it makes it better in songs like LSF well the best things about live recordings are, when you hear the crowd singing fucking loud and the band is top notch. thats why i hate the itunes recordings because you can't hear the crowd which is a bad thing

Seems the modern thing to edit the crowd out, which is poor in my opnion, makes the viewer less 'into it'. At least the festivals are good for crowd noise.

I mean, it should be quietened to a certain degree, of course... But I love crowd noise. Kasabian's LSF at RAH gives me goosebumps!!! Also, When the whole thing is up, I might try make it into a DVD... I dunno

My Kasabian live experience was ruined for me by shitty sound. It was a mini-festival type thing (the incredible bill is listed below) and the drums and synths were so loud that it was physically uncomfortable being anywhere but in the fucking toilets.
This was 2005:
Oasis Jet Doves The Lemonheads Kasabian Jesse Malin The Redwalls

Across The Narrows in New York. It was really fucking good, although Liam seemed angry as fuck that it was not sold-out (or anywhere near to it, really).
