the first thing I noticed was as deasy55 said it's more melodic than kasabian's ever been but in a good way I like it. Velociraptor the song has more potential than what serge did with it it's so flat and not finished at all it's still a good song but could habe been massive.
anyway I love the WHOLE album it's great to see them back making great music.
some reviews claimed it's their best album, what do you think though it's a bit early to judge but I can see where they're coming from

I have to give it more time, but at the very least it's their most put together album. West Ryder did have a good bit of filler, as did their debut.

Who knows the lyrics of Kasabian's "Pistols At Dawn" I don't find them and I understand the lyrics badly... Pop. Bang. Lovely. I'm the smoke Behind the screen Astronaut in the limozine Now picture us Anphetamines A taxidermy in the magazine The mutiny Amongst the fees All the cards hiding up my sleeves Bandages A stripper's thighs Tell the jury you're an animal Yeah, oh yeah This blade man can wait Don't leave them now This aggrovation Is heavy duty This blade man can wait Don't leave them now You've got to slow down And see the beauty Wah Wah Wah Straighten up Take your pills Nuts is watching So forget your thrills Plastic limbs Antidote Now you see it was all a hoax Microchips Inside your ears Tapping in to your inner fears Lousy kids We can tick Beaten up with the ugly stick Yeah, oh yeah This blade man can wait Don't leave them now This aggrovation Is heavy duty This blade man can wait Don't leave them now You've got to slow down And see the beauty Oh Temper Temper, missy Resorting to violence if you disagree Oh The rhythm The rhythm is slow Have to admit you're the star of the show Oh Temper Temper, missy Sitting there laughing it's now that you see Oh The visions The visions are black Tears on your gravestone, you're not coming back Wah Wah Wah I'm the smoke A mocking bird The filthy joke That you overheard So giz a squeeze I am you You're always fucked But you never knew Yeah, oh yeah Wah Wah Wah This blade man can wait Don't leave them now This aggrovation Is heavy duty This blade man can wait Don't leave them now You've got to slow down And see the beauty Wah Wah Wah

I like it, but there's not the moment that you can say: "It's the bollocks" Goodbye Kiss shocked me in a good way and Acid Turkish in the bad one. Velociraptor(the track) seems quite lifeless, unlike the live version.
It's not my thing but i guess I'll buy it and have a few of the tracks on the Ipod.

Despite the horrible artwork and 1st single (I think Switchblade Smiles is the worst song off the album), this is great. Let's see if in one month it's still great or just good.

First Post! Brilliant Album.. Few dudd tracks i.e Velociraptor, but holds up to West Ryder if not better? I just think the singles on West Ryder were a lot stronger which isn't necessarily a bad thing due to, too much air play can make you hate a tune.

Loving it so far, more consistent than West Ryder imo although there are no songs as good as Underdog here my favourites are the title track, Re-Wired and Man of Simple Pleasures, but I really like all the songs apart from the last two on the album which let it down a bit. Impressed overall, think it might be a grower as well

Hmm I always thought it was " Barbiturates" instead of "Now picture us". Could be wrong, of course. I'm probably wrong... it sounds more like it, but I have never heard that word before! LOL I like it, but there's not the moment that you can say: "It's the bollocks" I think I might have to disagree when it gets to Re-Wired... That's going to be a big song... Especially live... It's got a fist pumping chorus... almost like Muse's Uprising on Cocaine or something xD

"Velociraptor"' lyrics: 1. Switchblade Smiles
Switchblade smiles, they go on for miles and will be forever Now we stand together, there's no denials Much too soon for the wooden spoon, can you hear the knocking Now your feet are stomping around the room (Oh! Oh!) Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming?
Move back his wrecking ball, reach through the package More violence he's coming, he's coming, he's coming Move back his wrecking ball, reach through the package More violent he's coming, I'm running, I'm running
Switchblade smiles, they go on for miles and will be forever Now we stand together, there's no denials Much too soon for the wooden spoon, can you hear the knocking Now your feet are stomping around the room Ring a ring o’ roses, a pocket full of posies You form disguises (Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming?) No one needs to know (Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming? Can you feel it coming?) All you wanna do it cos you said it's a lie You're walking for your people on a warning sky And all you wanna say "Boy, I've got no soul" And time it for the people is full of contol
Move back his wrecking ball, reach through the package More violence he's coming, he's coming, he's coming Move back his wrecking ball, reach through the package More violent he's coming, I'm running, I'm running
2. Days Are Forgotten
Aaaahh, aaaahahahahaaa, aaaahh, aaaahahahahaaa Hey son, I'm looking forward You're leaning backwards of this I'm sure Have you had enough? Are you feeling rough? Does your skull hurt? Well if it's warm Cos I am taking back what's mine, I am taking back the time You may call it suicide but I'm being born again, I'm waiting Aaaahh, I'm waiting, aaaahahahahaaa, right here now, I'm waiting For someone or something to take me, to take me over
Days, days are forgotten Now it's all over simply forgotten, hail to the cypriot
Home bred, I've got blood lust Feeding you bread crust, I leave no scar You say I'm old hat, a f**king dirty rat Call me a cliche how right you are Cos I am flipping bag of bones, I am righting all your wrongs You may call it suicide but I'm being born again, I'm waiting Aaaahh, I'm waiting, aaaahahahahaaa, right here now, I'm waiting For someone or something to take me to take me over
Days, days are forgotten Now it's all over simply forgotten, hail to the cypriot Days, days are forgotten Now it's all over simply forgotten, hail to the cypriot I saw something, I get on the dark, it's the You was at home chewing on monkey brains I am out her, I'm just a silhouette You will never ever ever forget Days, days are forgotten Now it's all over simply forgotten, hail to the cypriot Days, days are forgotten Now it's all over simply forgotten, hail to the cypriot I saw something, I get on the dark, it's the You was at home chewing on monkey brains
Write other "Velociraptor" lyrics if you know...

Thanks! Although, Sony hasn't been always providing the most accurate Kasabian lyrics o.o

Surely that's all wrong? I see lines that make no sense whereas the ones on the Kasabian official site do make sense

Surely that's all wrong? I see lines that make no sense whereas the ones on the Kasabian official site do make sense I think they were in Italian and translated or something... they're all out of place but the words are 99% right, ignoring the spelling... The ones on the official website were all wrong for the older albums, so I don't really trust it to be 100% accurate... But still, now there's another place to get lyrics from
