It may not be total rubbish, but it isn't worth my time to read regardless. I don't need to read Tony's hate-speech anymore. He should be proud of what he got to contribute to the history of music, and move on. Everyone else has.

Seem to be lots of negativity and untruths flying around this forum. Noel would be proud.

Ha ha. He is. He has. Proud and moved on that is. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and I mean that literally. If you don't want to pay for it I'm sure you can borrow a copy. It's not all about Noel. I'll bet your bottom dollar that you enjoy it.
As ever, BigUn.

The last time Noel did an interview in which mentioned Supersonic was on the Time Flies DVD. I am almost positive that he didn't say that Supersonics music was was written by Bonehead and Tony. What the he'll are you talking about bigun? The Real People have also never asserted that...or even Bonehead. So tony's looking a bit lonely out on that ledge alone.
As for his opinion about Noel and Liams relationship...I don't give a shit. It's not his place to say that either of the brother should have treat the other any way. My parents have known my bros and I since we were born and they still don't have clue. So why would I care what Tony thinks about 2 bros relationship.
I don't believe that Noel always tells the truth...bit neither am I going to believe Tony.
I think there might b something to the fact that Tpny was obviously Tony was closer to Liam than Noel. I wonder if Tony was a bad influence on Liam...as far as egging him on, etc. Lord knows Liam didn't need it in the 90's. And he didn' have a lot of behavior that deserved support back then either.
Would explain some of the animosity. Noel doesn't seem to genuinely hate people without reason most of the time.
We just accept that Noel just did't like him. But I wonder what induced that? It can't have just been the fact that he wasn't that great a drummer. And the lawsuit was years after.

I was always surprised that Tony came out of the Definitely Maybe DVD so well. Mani gave him some kudos, and bar one wry comment about Bring It On Down that Noel said, he seemed to come out of it with a lot of credit and respect, deserved of course. Noel also spoke to Jo Whiley on Radio 1 on the day of the DMDVD release saying "can I say hello to Bonehead, Guigsy and Tony McCarroll". Probably the first time I'd heard him mention Tony's name without some derogatory comment at the end of it.
Noel's well known for being very ruthless at that time and the Tony situation was just part of that.

WOW! Bigun on the forum! Love the Noel story at the end lmfao with you off your tits at his house. Hell of a book, you don't have to necessarily agree with everything or hate Tony because of his experiences or opinion. Great read, the most entertaining Oasis book I've ever read.

I have read it and it is still pretty shit in my opinion. Then again when you read Slash's book followed by Ozzy's, the life of Tony McCarroll is going to seen dull in comparison.

My book just came in the mail. Should have it complete by this weekend. 3 chapters in and I must say, its quite entertaining. This is ranking right up there with Huts' book, "Dont Look Back In Anger" If Whitey put out a book, he'd make some SERIOUS coin!!!

I just read the book. I like it it's entertaining. But me saying its entertaining does not mean that I think it accurate. They're a few things that I think are pretty far fetch. Some of the stuff sounds like they're based on actaul events, but with Tony adding names that weren't there or other events that didnt happen. Though it is an entertaining read.
If you just want a good read, get it, but don't read it like its the gospel because it isnt.
Note:I wounder if any of the former band mates will say anything about this book, so far they're all quiet. I don't know if that means they've read the book and they agree, or that they haven't read and don't want to read it, or they don't want to give Tony more publicity by piling on.
I don't think it's dirty conscious that stops them from commenting. Mainly because all Noel has to do is come out and say "all the events in that book are lies with the exception of a few" and at least half the Oasis fan base would believe him, even if he was lying. So that leads me to believe that Noel feels that he doesnt have to say anything.
Another reason I don't think its dirty conscious is because Liam gasnt said anything about. Yeah maybe he hasnt read it, but I gaurantee you he's heard about it and people have told him what it's about. You would Liam would endorse the book considering his relationship with Noel isnt the best and the fatc that Tony talks about him so glowingly.
So it is interesting that the band has not said anything negative or positive. Mainly because I don't think that they want to give it publicity. Because what Tony doesnt get is that when he says that Noel stole a ton of shit from the Real People and that some of the stuff he achieved, he wouldnt have achieved without them, then indirrectly he's attacking the entire band's legacy.
He may not consciously be trying to do that, but he is doing that. He doesnt think that Bonehead is proud that he played on DM, or that Liam is proud that he sang on DM. He's inidrectly attacking that. They're proud of what they did and to say it wouldnt have happened without the Real People, you're basically saying that Oasis' entire career is a sham including Noel's.
I think that's the main reason no one has said anything about it. Yes he's slating Noel, but he's also slating Oasis' legacy(which includes Liam, Bonehead, and Guigs). Noel's music is Oasis' music and it legacy and when you attack his music you attack Oasis' music and legacy. And that's the whole truth. And if Tony's too dumb to see that then, oh well he's an idiot.
Still though an interesting read.

All you have done is slate Tony, you come across as a right spoilt twat. fuck off How does slating Tony make me spoiled? Was that just a word you used because you thought it would make you look intelligent as opposed to just calling me a knobhead? The book is very poor IMO. I didn't find it particularly funny (some of it was, more of it needed a tumbleweed blowing after it). I mean, it could have been better written, the co-writer didn't do a very good job. I also don't believe what Tony says in the book. Look at what he says about Supersonic and then look at what Noel, Liam, Bonehead and the Real People have to say about it. I paid for it, I read it, I can slate Tony as much as I like. Have you read it?
