Its hard to please everybody in the forum I guess... now they are been slag for been unoriginal,  as if Oasis and Now Godlike Status Noel Gallagher (i love him and all but you know what i mean) were the most original band alive... if liam sings more rocking and hard his kermit the fking frog,,, if he sings more gentle his Yoko's husband wannabe.... ffffuck... common....I just dont know what do you people honestly expect?.... A Day the Life,,, Stairway to Fucking Heaven???...Roller is a nice little tune, its very catchy, liam sings great on it.. we knew they werent gonna reinvent the wheel,,, but who has recently anyway.... This forum now if filled with 32 post -20 Karma members that took the time to register just to slag everything Liam does...is not genius song but is great.. |

According to this poll 90% of the forum thinks that the tune is above average. Seems to me that the tunes was a resounding success by all indications. Even most of the people that are saying that it's a bit derivitive for their taste aren't saying it's a bad song are still saying it's pretty good! It's overwhelmingly the most popular of the 3 tunes that we have heard in another thread. What is with the negativity of your part? |

If you translate those number to an out of five its 2.5/5=average 3/5=above average which I think, most would agree with. |

People are overracting because It's new. If you people think this song is anywhere near a 9 out of 10 you need to have a serious look at your music collection.

Gotta agree though, that the forum is being overrun by posters with -20 Karma and 32 posts. Some really are just on the forum to slag off Liam, instead of actually having an opinion. Common post from them is always 1 sentence with a piss ass comment and then nothing to back it. |

More than 60% thinks that TR is 8-10. I don't know if this is objectively correct but if the other album tracks are on par with this then the album may be a success with the casual listeners.

I would hope the album's highlights are far superior than The Roller. I just can't get Instant Karma out my head.

Well after careful consideration and after playing it alongside 'The Turning' and 'Bag it up' as two recent Oasis songs that I loved...plus a few others and also 'Instant Karma'...The Roller is a 9/10....a really really great well produced listen. (The production makes DOYS sound pretty awful actually, clunky almost)
