FFS could we stop blaming Noel for everything.

The band was starting to unravel. Noel wasn't happy and Liam was blissfully ignorant and didn't care about that. So Noel kept to himself and Liam lived it up with the guys.

In what universe did that make Noel the bad guy? It makes him fricking human. If your friend is miserable and the other one is still feeling happy...personally i spend more time with the miserable one. they don't ask for it and sometimes they don't seem the appreciate it @ the time. But They just obviously need it. It's more fun to be with the happy-go-lucky one...but that isn't necessarily the right decision. Wonder if we have hit on the "lack of support from bandmates" thing.

Liam always tells his version of the truth, I agree. But he always strikes me as a fairly self-involved type person. Rarely does he imbue anyone else with any nuance in the reasons for their behaviors. According to him Noel didn't hang out with the guys because he was a miserable bastard with plans all along to break up the band. I believe he didn't hang out with them towards the end...but I don't think Liam is being fair about motivations.

It was nobody's fault at all. It happened and there's no point to blame anybody - Noel, Liam or anybody else in the band for splitting up.

As for Noel travelling separately. That must have developed later in the tour. Initially it was Liam that was travelling separately and Noel that was on the bus with the boys.

And that's per Liam.
