I like the Black Box Revelation, excellent band! When's their new album out? 3d of October in Belgium. Released in the US as well, but don't know if it's at exactly the same date. It's gonna be awesome Where are you from?

Not exactly new bands, but two of the few I always wait for the release date and buy without listening first (as with Noel now). Both very underrated in my opinion.
Favourite tracks of 2011 so far:
Deus - Keep You Close
Puressence - Swathes Of The Sea Made Stone
Hope someone digs them!

Me too, hope they come down here... May be the best band I've seen live ever (not counting Oasis I guess, that was just... well, Oasis).

Not really 2011 albums, per say, but the new remasters of The Smiths' discography are absolutely brilliant. It's like listening to all of the tunes again for the first time.

Came across a band called Blitzen Trapper today, they released an album called American Goldwing this year which is great. Reminds me of both the White Stripes and Proud mary on different songs, well worth checking out

Ryan Adam's new album is brilliant stuff. Yep. Those who say it's on the same level as Heartbreaker are on some serious drugs, but it's definitely very good. I also really like Laura Marling's new album.
