I like the fun energy it's got but there's no tune in it. Exactly.

I'm a big Beady eye fan but initially i couldnt stand the song. Just seemed way too simple, lyrics were poor and it reminded me of 'great balls of fire' (not the chorus but the rest of it)
To be fair when i heard it live the crowd were going mad and i didnt mind it after a while. Saw Beady eye about 5 times and like i say everytime that song was played it had a great reception.
Remember when it came out NME seemed quite impressed as it seemed different from what we thought we would hear from Liam.

Funny song but I really like this "baby hold on" part.

Poor song carried by the fact on first listen it sounds quite fun. But after a number of plays it becomes quite lathargic. By far the worst single from DGSS.

Has anyone ever counted the exact amount of the word 'Baby' in that song though??? Someone did. CBA to find it. At the time, I posted that this was going to be the most divisive song ever. Can't find that now. Be nice if Proboards fix the search function so it is actually useful.

I miss Beady Eye... It was fun to see Liam struggling with something for once in his life Sometimes you have to go through the bad times to appreciate the good times. I think the whole Beady Eye thing made Liam work ever harder and he's now got his rewards.

I think the whole Beady Eye thing made Liam work ever harder and he's now got his rewards. I think so too. In a way he needed it. If he went straight from Oasis to solo career, i think he wouldn't appreciate it as much as he is now. It probably wouldn't be as good too, that 4 year gap made people miss him and him missing music and people. Thanks to Bring The Light i guess It was meant to be that way.

I still enjoy it whenever I hear it. I love the piano in it and Liam's vocals

I really dig this song, bought it on iTunes. It's not some artistic masterpiece but it's catchy and makes me feel like dancin'

I think Bring the Light would be a good addition to his current setlist. With horns and backing singers it would be pretty good live.

Still love it. I suppose technically its shit in terms of songwriting and its utterly absurd but its probably the first and last time we'll here Liam take on the style of Jerry Lee Lewis, and for the piano alone, its a thumbs up from me.

Problem with Beady Eye, is that the whole As You Were era has just destroyed it both on record and live.
Or am I wrong?

I still think some of Beady Eye's best songs (Four Letter Word, Wigwam, Off At The Next Exit) are better than Liam's best solo efforts. But they were horribly inconsistent compared to As You Were.

And first impressions count. The first single for As You Were was perfectly chosen along with the fact the name "Liam Gallagher" was put out there and that is still relevant.
Beady Eye was a questionable name to begin with, with no reference to Liam. But more than that, while i actually kinda enjoy Bring The Light, it was a colossal failure to release that as your first single. You releasing a song with a 60´s vibe in 2010 is a very stupid call. Specially when you have Four Letter Word recorded, which would have left a great first impression even if the album in itself was average at best.

It should have always been 'Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye'. To me that's a great band name. Far better than NGHFB and then you obviously get the recognition of brand LG which instantly gets people to take notice.
