Muse supported U2 for the first leg of their US tour. Now U2 has Snow Patrol in support. Time for Muse to get their own world tour going.

No way for Muse... Kasabian still the best band behind Oasis. They've got hymns, they've got the attitude.... Muse is like Placebo for me, great bands in past... But now... It's done... Muse songs are boring and unhappy... Great in live of course... But boring... And the Matt voice is so boring, absolutely not rock'n roll... Kasabian are ready.

I remembered Wembley, Kasabian were awesome... LSF, Cutt Off, Fire, Club Foot, Empire, Processed Beats etc... All the people were here. It was awesome before Oasis. Muse is a good band, but only for teenagers with problems... What we need now is a great band with explosive tracks and hymns.

3 posts in a row, yeah, we get it, you like Kasabian. have you ever seen Muse live? try it, you'll find they have what you need, explosive tracks and hymns. and no way it's music for teenagers, that's probably the most ridiculous thing I've read since "coldplay is the best band in the world"

Anyone who thinks Muse are the best band in the world needs to listen to more music.
Their best album was Origin of Symmetry, the latest is a disappointment and has no soul at all.
One of the biggest though.
PS. Neither is Kasabian

but it doesn't stop it from being ridiculous. it's like me saying Argentina will win the WC, as much as I love my country, I'm not blind.

I have seen Muse in live (Lyon 2004 Halle Tony Garnier) fuking depressive band... Just for teenagers.. I leave the live after 8 tracks (hopefully it was an invitation). Mathew voice is just horrible... Absolutely not rock'n roll. But I can understand you like them... Just like me as I think Kasabian are the new Oasis (in a little rock'n roll world). Muse got hymns... But all of them are depressive.

Mathew voice is enough for me... So depressive and boring after 2 tracks. Muse got really great songs. But for me it's not a rock band... Progressiv rock maybe. Like Archive, an amazing and beautiful band in live... Butttt you know what I mean...

The main problem I have with both Muse and Kasabian is that they seem very manufactured, like they were declared as the next great thing without having to prove it first. Oasis stumbled upon greatness, but Muse and Kasabian were handed it by critics looking for the next big thing. Also, to me, they're both way worse than Oasis and do not innovate at all. Oasis didn't innovate much either, but their songs were perfect examples of hooky guitar rock. I don't find the songcraft of these two bands to be good at all. They just try to hide their shortcoming with big production. To be honest, I think the new U2 album had tighter, more unique songs on it than either of these albums, and I'm not the biggest U2 fan at all.
IMO, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are current Oasis-style guitar rock that's actually good. There's a bit of a Smiths influence too. I highly recommend them.:

As much as I love The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, it took Muse 10 years to have a hit in America with Absolution. It was only since BHaR that they can attest to being a huge band.
Kasabian on the other hand, were at one point regarded as a hope in a post-Libertines world, but they've easily disproved the doubters with West Ryder (which didn't have "big production" at all), they proved they were more then just Madchester wannabes that had synths.

I feel something special with a Kasabian live... Muse is like a MJ live everything is setting... So boring... So... Certainly... Muse will take a full Wembley stadium... But this kind of thing I loved with Oasis... A simply rock'n roll show with hymns and crowd singing on every tracks with a fury. I would like to see Kasabian in a stadium tour.. And all the people singing on a happy hymns..... (every tracks probably). Please stop Listenning Muse... I've got a really funny review (in french) on their last album... A fuking joke.
