In fact I don't want to see anyone as Indy. Guardians was my favorite film of the year. He is the next big star. Hes the star of three franchises now (Guardians, The Lego movie, and Jurassic World) and is one of the leads on Parks and Recreation.

Just too silly for me, but this goes for the whole film. Campy comedy annoys me more than it entertains. I suppose he might be a really great actor, because he nailed the silliness. It's tolerable in small quantities, but there was too much throughout the movie to appreciate. It's just not really my taste.

He's seems alright in the trailer, even though they don't feature many lines from him.

I'd be down for Pratt if it went that way. Maybe Bradley Cooper too.

If I were to make a list: Rupert Friend (Homeland) Josh Holloway (Lost) Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) Jeremy Renner (The Avengers, Bourne Legacy...)

George Lucas should do us all a favor and repeat what he did with the Star Wars Christmas Special. Buy up every copy and burn them. I think he also attempted this with Howard The Duck.

New Indiana Jones? Harrison Ford would be too old surely, so if him and Spielberg aren't involved, I'm not interested personally.
I read somewhere it was Lucas's idea to have Indy as an archaeologist James Bond, replicating his smooth charm, whereas Spielberg wanted a more human character who was flawed and a bit reckless. Thank god Spielberg intervened - Raiders and Last Crusade feel very much like his films, so he really should have stamped his authority with Kingdom of Crystal Skull. Judging by his interviews on that film, he only directed out of obligation towards Lucas.

I'm hoping they leave the franchise well alone. I'd only be open to another (and final) Harrison Ford Indy film if only to make up for the fourth one. But even then, is be happier if they didn't. I wish Hollywood would stop tampering with my childhood with all of these reboots / retreads / retools / delayed sequels to classic films. It's difficult to recapture the original magic. That being said, I'm psyched for the new Star Wars film though.

But Ford is getting on a bit, and Spielberg probably doesn't have the motivation, preferring to do new things (judging by his interviews he couldn't was pretty unenthusiastic about everything with Crystal Skull). So realistically, they should leave it alone.

Thank God the network wouldnt let him out of his Magnum PI contract to do it.
