I really like the Wyatt/Kurstin combo but I really wish Dan Grech-Marguerat had been involved too.
And please do not let Greg Kurstin mix any tracks, stuff like Come Back To Me suffered because he was left the mixing duties.

I guess since I became a fan of LG's first and haven't really delved into live Oasis, I don't understand the hate Jay gets. They all seem like good musicians that do a decent job.
They were all fantastic in San Fran!

I wouldn't say all of the 8 tracks he has sole writing credit are the best off the record, Bold, Greedy Soul and I've All I Need are certainly in my top 5.
If he can come up with a few more that are of that caliber I will certainly be a happy camper.

I thought this as well, but why would he get a credit for it if he didn't have any input? It's not like he wanted credit on all the songs since he didn't get credits for Paper Crown or Chinatown. It’s standard industry practice to give the performer a writing credit when they’ve done sweet fuck all in reality. Look at Beyoncé and co. Then wouldn't he have gotten credit across the board? |

Do you blame him? Does anyone really miss Beady Eye? Literally everyone’s situation in the band has improved since it dissolved. Liam - big solo star Andy - back with his original band Ride, having a nice little comeback and tour Gem - touring with Noel’s band across the globe. Good paycheck. Chris - touring with Noel’s band across the globe. Good paycheck. Oasis fans - getting awesome solo albums by both brothers Oasis fans - get to stop pretending that Kill for a Dream, The Beat Goes On, Face The Crowd etc. are OK songs. Also get to wipe Andy Bell from our collective memories. My God I hate that vagina

I was at a Hooters restaurant last night and Wall of Glass came on the piped in music feed. I went to a Hooters last year in Florida honestly not twigging it was a restaurant celebrating boobs. I was with my old man, and we aren't that kind of family, so it was a bit awkward. I did hear For What It's Worth in a Hard Rock cafe at Tampa airport though. I can imagine that could get awkward lol! It caught me off guard as I go once a week (not because I'm a loser ogling at the girls but the food is rather tasty  ) and I've never heard anything resembling good music there.
It's always Bon Jovi-eque crap, what followed Liam you ask? Blondie's "Call Me."

Must be hard having mad famous parents. I mean, your band is always going to be shit when constantly being compared to Oasis. X Julian Lennon may have mentioned comparisons to his dad over the years, although those Abbey Road photos probably didn't help.  Sorry for the threadcrap but Julian's album Photograph Smile is REALLY good, top 20 of the last 20 years IMO maybe even top 10 of my favorite albums of the last 20 years. |

X one of the strangest facts i know is that Bob Dylan's son's band The Wallflowers have an album that has outsold any Bob Dylan album in USA. With good reason, it's a fantastic record. Still holds up 22 years later |

I was at the gym earlier this morning when Come Back To Me came on and my god the mix on that is atrocious. It sounds great in my car and when I stream it via my surround sound setup at home but on earbuds it just blows IMO.
Let's hope Mark Stent does the mixing for the album in full.

I love it but I prefer the version done live for the video vs the album version.
Glad to have both though, if As You Were wasn't as strong as it is I would never have delved further into Oasis.
