I hope people put Noel's album under the same microscope of Liam's... I'm not saying that I don't respect or appreciate the critique but when people start "nitpicking" then it becomes absolutely pointless. They did with his first two albums.

So....are we all just sitting here with no single news, twiddling our thumbs??? WTF Ignition? Funnily enough, I don't think they take this forum's discussion points into account, when they organise an album release Or anyone else's.

I prefer the live version but still really like it.
Can't wait to hear the Air Studios version.

Reckon Fort Knox (the bells etc) will be the walk on music for the live shows and then straight into the tune. What an opening that could be. Monster tune by the sounds if it. Wow i think that's the first post of yours i have ever agreed with.

The Roller really is meh sounding to me and a Instant Karma rip off. Hung in A Bad Place is better than Thank You For The Good Times imo. Is a MASSIVE Stooges ripoff. Not as blatant as The Roller though.

I still cannot for the life of me work out why Noel chose to put A Quick Peep and Hung In A Bad Place on HC instead of Thank You For The Good Times and The Roller. I really hope we get a 2002 version of the Roller one day. The Roller really is meh sounding to me and a Instant Karma rip off. Hung in A Bad Place is better than Thank You For The Good Times imo.

Wouldn't be surprised if half of this album is the stuff he did with Amorphous Androgynous that he'll now try to pass off as his own.

Noel says it's “one of the best things I’ve ever done”. That's a bold statement. He always says that tbf.

Wait, what the fuck is going on here. What did Liam say that makes people think the album is out in May? Because it’s not. It’s november 24th. I think this is what has people questioning... Liam is joking. No way they would release it 7 months later.

I wouldn't be surprised if Noel pushes the album back because of Taylor Swift and to protect his #1 album streak but SURELY he'd only need to push it back until maybe a few weeks before Christmas to safely secure another #1 album? Nothing would surprise me with Noel's management.

I love I'd Pick You Everytime and it looks like I'm about the only one in the forum that likes The Good Rebel. Mind you, it's not one of my favourites (I'd put it towards the bottom if I had to rate all NGHFB songs, to be fair) but I don't find it as offensive as most people here. It's just alright. It could even be my favourite Heathen Chemistry-era song (Idler's Dream was written much earlier).
The only NGHFB I really don't like is A Simple Game of Genius. The intro is nice but after that it becomes late Oasis by numbers: it sounds tame and the melody and lyrics are lazy and uninspired. It's Aphrodite's Child's The Four Horsemen on tranquilizers. You ain't alone, I enjoy The Good Rebel, I think it's a fun song he should bring back and do live I hope he doesn't play TGR ever again. One of the worst songs he has released in his solo career so far.
