99% of psychedelic music from the 60s and 70s is meandering self indulgent rubbish.

Lindsay Buckingham era Fleetwood Mac was always way superior to the naval gazing Peter Green era nonsense. Melodically, vocally, performance wise... just generally the songwriting is timeless classics that the Peter Green era can't hold a candle to.
The only people who think Green era is better are out of touch old white crusty males like Noel.

Imagine thinking a guy who lost the popular vote twice would be a good candidate (or, as jeffrey thinks, actually won the vote and that we're all puppets to a big state conspiracy). Imagine thinking a guy who caused the Republicans to tank in the mid terms in 2022 is a good candidate. As you all know, that's not even scratching the surface. But imagine thinking that this guy is a formidable, competitive candidate who is dangerous and should be feared. The results above show the reality is he's none of these things. He's just merely pathetic. A pathetic little man with pathetic little supporters. Don't scorn them. Pity them. More bullshit. Never once said Trump won the election in 2020. As a matter of fact, you’ll find I’ve stated I voted for Biden several times, but you just want to argue and relentlessly post nonsense on the interest because it makes you feel special. 😘 Aye sure, it only took us about four or five times for you to answer whether you thought Biden won the election.

Lots of hype, but it's a bit hard for me to get excited to pay a shitload to watch Gem, Andy Bell and Insert Drummer's Name Here on stage again. Seeing that version of the band tour a WSTMG? anniversary would be a travesty. The Oasis that died in 2009 should stay buried. Bring back Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan or feck off. I'm in the same mindset. Andy & Gem, although technically better, sterilised the Oasis sound. Nothing remotely special about their playing styles. Bonehead and Guigs gave it the ragged raw energy. They were never quite the same after they left. This ain't controversial in the slightest but, as live performers go,.... Liam's band >>>> Oasis (Gem/Andy era). In a live capacity, it's going to be a step down for Liam. Plus you have Noel manning the ship and we all know how unadventurous he is with regards to setlists, so there's another setback. So, as tempting as it seems initially, on further thought, it's a hard no. Let Liam take the reigns for a change. Mark my words, it would be a hell of a lot more adventurous and entertaining.

Mad that the same time has passed between DM and the breakup and the breakup and now. 15 years a piece, 30 total. Time for a reunion. Won't happen but it would be perfect with Liam's voice as it currently is! The time is now. Thank you very much for the most depressing post of the year!

that later years crowd is what we'd be getting, except now theres more angry coked up shitbags I hope the beautiful youth will show up like at the solo gigs! Sell any reunion gigs as 'that band who did Wonderwall' and the young folk will get in first in the queue ahead of the coked up, EDL c*nts. At the same time, lets falsely advertise an Oasis reunion gig for the skinhead lot, and they walk into an incinerator disguised as a stadium. Problem solved!

Gran Turismo continuing its tradition of amazing soundtracks! Still keeping in tradition with the original games back on the PS1. As mossy notes above, the 90s were a fantastic time for electronic music, probably the golden age of it. But another reason for its widespread popularity was its usage in video games, including the original Gran Turismo from 1998 which I had as a kid. I wonder where my fondness for electronic music comes from and I honestly think its an unconscious sense of nostalgia. Growing up as a kid playing the PS1, there's so many games that had great electronic soundtracks, the most famous being Wipeout. Even going back before then, limited technology was still maximised with some incredible Sega Mega Drive soundtracks, my personal favourite growing up was Streets of Rage and the soundtrack I still remember to this day! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_of_the_Streets_of_Rage_seriesSo much of this kind of stuff influenced electronic and hip-hop artists further down the line. There was also the PS1 game Music2000 that allowed you to create your own dance tunes, and allowed sampling from your own CDs! That went over my head so it was too complicated for me but I recently looked at YouTube to find artists using it to make their own tracks. There's a real genius to old video game soundtracks. Imposed limitations because of what is now primitive technology, a lot of the soundtracks really used those limitations to their advantage in creating banging electronic tunes. Nowadays, video games can easily replicate film soundtracks, but less is more, and I miss the ingenuity of the electronic composers who pushed their technology to the limit. Yes boss, the Streets of Rage soundtracks bang so hard. Sonic 3 too. Wipeout / PS1 were marketed to ravers on a comedown. 🦔 Yes, the Sonic soundtracks were fab. Also, sorry I thought I'd shared the original theme to Streets above, this is it in all it's glory. Top quality!

straight from the horses (maga) mouth Well its convinced me that Trump is the man. I can't believe I was such a puppet for so long, believing the lies of mainstream media. God bless these enlightened free thinkers, paving the way and speaking the truth and, more importantly, revealing the truth to us ignorant folk. They truly are the harbingers of intelligence and wisdom. I apologise for being a puppet and not seeing the light sooner.

Gran Turismo 7 (the videogame) has some great ambient house tracks by a guy named Lenny Ibizarre. Balearic with dark undertones, they remind me of GLOK. You guys ever see Chris Martin’s hairline? Dude had a serious receding hairline in 2000 when he had a shaved head for the back end of Parachutes tour and all of AROBTTH cycle. Now he’s sporting a rock solid hairline almost 25 years later. Huh? He had a transplant years ago I think - sometime between X&Y and Viva La Vida. Look at his hair for VLV, the rock solid hairline is in place!

I know right, I can't believe Beady’s Here Now toxic post about Harris is still here either. Very telling how you don't have a problem with that post, don't even comment, yet here you are getting hysterical and keep telling us 'I'm not a Trump supporter' as if somehow that makes you the doyen of impartiality and objectivity. And I'll tell you everything wrong about that post. 'Condescending' 'Inappropriate cackle' a problem with 'head nodding', 'insincere, inauthentic'; these things - very trivial, unimportant things - that are apparently a problem with Harris yet Trump can get away with things irredeemably worse. These 'flaws' that can be levelled at most politicians suddenly becomes an issue when a black woman enters the fray. So what's the real problem here? I think we all know. Mate, you’re a legitimate fucking idiot, huh? Nothing about those descriptions has anything to do with race. If identifying “flaws” is below the bar for you, I suggest going back through this thread to review all of the “trivial, unimportant things” written about the other candidate. I think his post was unnecessary (but he has a right to his opinion), as there are significant issues in her past that he could’ve identified which illustrate he believes she’s a poor choice to lead a country that’s so divided. I.e.: she was so hated because of her poor record and inability to effectively debate during the 2020 primaries she didn’t win a single delegate or that she had a comically low approval rating as VP in large part because of her complete failure handling the border crisis. You have literally not understood a word of my post or the concept of dog whistle racism. Dunce.

You could have just said 'I'm extremely insecure and don't like black woman' and spared us the dog whistle racism. So the mods here permit accusing someone of racism but when someone calls them out, they move the post to a locked thread while leaving the disgusting assertion of hatred? The bias here is wild. I know right, I can't believe Beady’s Here Now toxic post about Harris is still here either. One thing I was admittedly surprised by is just how popular the WTSMG cover is to recreate. Was down in London for a gig this weekend so had a walk down there and it was like every 3 mins people were coming to take pictures. Many in pairs taking a walking snapshot like the cover. I thought it would attract some, but it appears to be super iconic now. Like maybe the second most iconic London cover photo after Abbey Road. I was racing to get to somewhere off Oxford Street when I first moved to London, and unwittingly came across it, like 'oh s***, that's it there!'.

Kamala Harris is so condescending - the head nodding, the tone of voice, the vapid personality and her inauthentic, insecure, and inappropriate cackle. Can’t stand her, her word salad, or her far left policies. You could have just said 'I'm extremely insecure and don't like black woman' and spared us the dog whistle racism.
