I got tickets quite easily during the presale for a very good price for the date and location I wanted.... but I'm getting angry more and more... and I don't blame ticketmaster, but directly Noel and Liam ok, releasing no video, no interview, nothing at all from the start must have something to do with a "clever" marketing strategy, but after this major piss take and ripp off of so many fans, at least they could post two or three words on instagram or x... but it looks like, Liam is not allowed to and Noel doesn't care... Liam could've turned the reunion down if he felt it wasn't fair to the fans with his man of the people persona online. People need to accept he's just as complicit as Noel in this situation.

Liam Twitter account Is in « full corporate mode » since the teaser for the reunion.
There is obviously a tight communication strategy around this reunion.

I've reflected on this and taken some time before replying again, and I'm still disgusted. Everyone defending this, or the band, is part of the problem. You are apologists for greed. Talking of market forces or economic realities does not make you the grown up in the room. It makes you a subservient idiot thanking thieves as they empty your pockets. The band, their management, Ticketmaster, they don't respect your wisdom. They're delighted you are so stupid they can steal even more of your money. Your acquiescence is the reason things like this perpetuate. You're not clever, you're an accomplice in exacerbating the financial inequality that is destroying our country. After 30 years, I'm done with the band. l'm done with this place. And a final fuck you as I leave to every single person here defending the indefensible. ¿Which forum member deleted their account? I hope it wasn’t eva…. God bless.

A new way to rip up off people.
It all sounds like a scam this flexing and dynamic pricing - whether it's the greedy promoters or scummy scalpers, it's the average fan that gets the short end.
Despite all of this, I still end up overpaying for tickets too (especially sporting events)

Dynamic pricing is absolute shit but it’s a standard practice at this point. It fucking sucks but I’m not surprised they’re also doing it. Pretty much why I avoid almost all arena/TM shows. not defending it but I am so jaded by the pricing for shows like this. Noel Gallagher: “ For 1bln I would even re-marry my ex!” “The reunion will happen when I will be offered the right price” “thanks for buying this whatever, I will buy another house with a pool!” Some hardcore fan in 2024who read this in headlines over the years: omg it’s for money?! 😧😱🥺☹️😣😢 lmao this too It was always gonna be when the stars and pound signs align.

I genuinely cannot believe that people didn't think that this was going to happen. Marcus Russell and Ignition are greedy shitbags and time and time again they've been shown to be a shit management company more than happy to take advantage of fans' willingness to buy stuff even when they're being offered the bare minimum. This entirely fits their modus operandi. Blame them, not the brothers themselves Edit: you're right, it is standard practice and it's sad but unfortunately it's the way of the world where big acts are concerned now and has been for some time. When you live in a world where Ticketmaster and their parent company Live Nation have a near total monopoly over the organisation, promotion and ticketing of live music events and there isn't a single piece of legislation in place to keep them in check there isn't really a viable alternative. It's not just an Oasis thing, as fucked up as it is. Pearl Jam tried to combat it years ago to no avail and many other bands have done the same but until legislation is in place this will keep happening. I guess what I'm saying is don't blame the band members for what is essentially a systemic issue, blame their management, and don't be surprised when things like this happen in the future.

Very similar story for me and my mates trying to get tickets; on phone for 6 hours, joined Q at 170k then kicked me out for “being a bot”🤦🏻♂️ my mate could’ve got 4 tickets for £358 each but we all said no. If you stayed the night after gig you’re probably talking easy a grand each for the day with hotel companies hiking prices up. I love Oasis but can’t justify spending that as not blessed with money. It’s a shame lots of fans who have loved the band since day 1 have been priced out by it. Lucky enough to see them 5 times at their peak so always got that.
I liked the way it used to be, queuing up at HMV for printed tickets. At least hardcore fans were more likely to get in
On Ticketmaster I’d love it if everyone deleted their app and simply stopped using them in anger at fleecing everyone but from what I hear they have a monopoly on the ticket industry. Bit like how the biggest company in the planet , Amazon treat their staff like crap yet we all keep using them……

Well, I've definitely been priced out. I knew it'd be out of my reach but I'm even happier now to have pulled the trigger to go see Pulp in May (albeit at a far lower price). I'm trying to be philosophical about it and am surely even more anti-capitalist now.

Personally I'm waiting for the band, Twickets and Ticketmaster 🙃 Not a bleeding chance Ticketmaster is apologising for this. In the BBC article our lord and saviour James Hargreaves has posted on Twitter this morning, they cowardly hide behind "tHe MaRkEt" to justify those outrageous prices.
Ticketmaster's official stance is that the organisers set the price, so they seem to think their hands are clean.

It wouldn't take much efforts for a few artists to stand together against that system. Take Swift, Foo fighters, Oasis and a few more together to launch a campaign against high prices and things could change. but... its hard. Liam has been scamming fans for 4+ years with a big smile, and Noel is jumping in, because he needs to relaunch his career. its business after all, and its not that big of a deal, we're free to buy or not; ...except for people for whom Oasis is still very important; there's an emotionnal side to music that the Gallaghers should take into account; OR... they think they are scamming FOMO people now, and the hype will die down later and the "real" fans will have regular prices in later tours; That's also a possibility;

Taylor Swift has got her pure American free market state of mind (or else she wouldn't make multiple release of the same album in order to make 12 years old girls pay more than a hundred dollars for records), not even mentioning her private jet addiction, and Oasis are merchants and they keep wanting more and more money in that twisted ex-proletarian way (ever heard of "left-wing bosses" being the worst?). I can't talk about Foo Fighters because I don't know enough about their practices to give a honest comment about them.
As much as I love Oasis they are NOT men of the people, and they haven't been since DM hit the charts.

Clearly, its a business, but there was a time when going to see Oasis was at a fair price, even in the later days. They were known for that. Noel still, when he was solo (Liam not so much). Ive no problem to pay a bit more for big bands, because they are worth it. they worked their ass off to become that; but there is a limit i'm not willing to cross; the message needs to be strong this time, they need to understand its gone too far.
