Noel Gallagher: “ For 1bln I would even re-marry my ex!” “The reunion will happen when I will be offered the right price” “thanks for buying this whatever, I will buy another house with a pool!” Some hardcore fan in 2024who read this in headlines over the years: omg it’s for money?! 😧😱🥺☹️😣😢

Like everything on twitter, it's irrelevant really. It's an unfortunate situation that months from now will be forgotten, because the collective memory of those terminally online refreshes every two weeks. Some people will stay bitter That's exactly what I'm worried about

I wonder how many people clicked on the £350 tickets thinking it was for a Special type of ticket, or even for 2 single normal tickets... After waiting in frustration for a few hours, then the sudden excitement of finally getting in, but knowing time is short to get the payment done ..you get that screen pop up and your brain might be a bit dizzy. Anyhow, it's terrible sham... In Demand Seating, or Eating. I think more people skipped on it automatically thinking it was some VIP or special type of Premium ticket

Its just plain sad that a band this big sells tickets from 150 pounds and up. "Working class" or not.

If Starbucks was emblematic of evil corporations at the turn of the century (see the Austin Powers movie where Dr. Evil reappropriates their HQ for his own), I think the baton was passed onto Ticketmaster for the 2010s and beyond. Those fuckers are always trying it on. Hideous business practices.

Some people will stay bitter That's exactly what I'm worried about people have got the right and should stay bitter, if you just roll back at except it it'll just keep getting worse. The momentum / eye balls on these gigs could and should be start of more people taking notice and change coming in to stop this practice

Until we have proper legislation that protects against this happening in this country, that company will milk every last pound out of people

I've reflected on this and taken some time before replying again, and I'm still disgusted.
Everyone defending this, or the band, is part of the problem. You are apologists for greed. Talking of market forces or economic realities does not make you the grown up in the room. It makes you a subservient idiot thanking thieves as they empty your pockets.
The band, their management, Ticketmaster, they don't respect your wisdom. They're delighted you are so stupid they can steal even more of your money.
Your acquiescence is the reason things like this perpetuate. You're not clever, you're an accomplice in exacerbating the financial inequality that is destroying our country.
After 30 years, I'm done with the band. l'm done with this place. And a final fuck you as I leave to every single person here defending the indefensible.

Well that was an overreaction. People are more than entitled to feel shafted but disavowing the band over it? Yeah, a bit much

I can understand people feeling let down by all this, but totally writing off Oasis as an artist over it is wild. Not to mention taking it out on all of us on here, who just want a place to discuss our favourite band as a community, which is totally fucking absurd. Childish behaviour.

I wonder if he'd have disavowed the band completely like that if he'd got tickets? I think not
Disclaimer: I'm not saying he'd have been totally fine and that it's 100% rooted in jealousy/bitterness to have a go at the way things are done but to turn on the band you've loved for 3 decades overnight is fucking insane

Ticketmaster and live nation are being sued by the US dept of justice for being a monopoly that specifically works to increase prices for fans and extorts artists. This is just so much larger than the last 10% or whatever of these tickets. I’m sure biz management has to sign off on the contract for ticket prices but how much the band pays attention to these minor details and how much of a choice they really have if they want to work with the biggest promoter/ ticket seller in the world who knows.
I hope we can move past this being the big talking point instead of the joy of the reunion. I definitely feel for people who didn’t get tickets though. I was 19 in a trailer park in nowhere’s-ville USA with barely enough money to buy the NME featuring Knebworth. I had less than a hope in hell of ever going to one of those historical shows. I know that pain and frustration well. I hope we see lots of extra tickets on twickets and that will give everyone a chance who’s still waiting.

To be fair neither the band nor TM announced any ticket prices. We all saw the prices on Seetickets and Gigsandtour.
I wondered why they didn’t put prices on TM, we now know why.
So there you have it : no outright lie.
On the other hand calling « platinum ticket » a standard ticket is clearly misleading.

The key to this is to wait for either discounted tickets or tickets that were bought in the presale (i.e. that weren't inflated). Twickets always takes a percentage of the ticket fee but when the fee is that high, obviously they're gonna end up taking a high amount for themselves

I don't know. I mean yes and no.
Seller bought tickets he didn't want or did multiple buy on multiple gigs, and after it force buyer to buy even more expensive tickets on resale platforms without reasons...
So I'm share between my feelings about it.
I'm convinced just 4 tickets per person for all the events is the best way everytime... It avoids all others consumers to be fucked double, triple times by everybody...
D'you know what I mean... 🤔😏

The point of twickets was originally for people who just for whatever reason can't make a gig any more and it allows someone else to have the opportunity too go. Obv they cant do this out of goodness of their own heart and do it for any ticket. So some transactions they might make a couple of £s on. It a more ethical way for people to sell and for people to find 'spare' tickets

I got tickets quite easily during the presale for a very good price for the date and location I wanted.... but I'm getting angry more and more... and I don't blame ticketmaster, but directly Noel and Liam
ok, releasing no video, no interview, nothing at all from the start must have something to do with a "clever" marketing strategy, but after this major piss take and ripp off of so many fans, at least they could post two or three words on instagram or x... but it looks like, Liam is not allowed to and Noel doesn't care...
