At this point it's not funny anymore. They've even cut the sides of the picture off to cater to those complete idiots who don't know how to rotate their phones horizontally when they watch a video. The day is coming when we do get some rare concert or clip remastered and uploaded to youtube and it will be cropped this way too "because that's how most people watch videos on their phones these days".

Wow totally awesome Oasis surprised us this week by dropping the Earls Court show on digital and limited vinyl. They know us so well!

I know this is a shitty thing to moan about because if they did release something it would be amazing, but……
Has everyone else noticed that they’re showing EC and Gmex clips all the time? I hope they don’t release something like There And Then where we got half concerts of each show

At this point, I also feel like if we're getting anything from that tour its either all 3 nights at Earls Court or both nights at GMEX in some form, not a bad thing at all. The only thing that tips it in GMEXs favour for me personally is the setlist (minus Cigarettes and Alcohol as its place in the set feels slighlty jarring to me in a way it could appear jarring if Digsys Dinner came after Fade in Out)

I can’t imagine Noel wanting to be involved in the production, mixing and promotion of a live album from the Be Here Now era.
Look at the amount of work and promotion that went into the Knebworth film and album or Familiar to Millions back in the day. Noel is working on a high flying birds album and Liam has been promoting his album and away on tour.
There has been no mention at all of a release of any live album, no promotion for a release would surely not be advisable
Sorry to be negative but happy to be proved wrong.
…I have been proved wrong before, I never thought we would get the Mustique demos!

Yes, this is probably a personal thing but what i would guess was the european tour setlist (magic pie swapped for dont go away) is the perfect one for me for the BHN tour, had Cigarettes abd Alcohol been included earlier in the tour or in a less odd place (to me) it would have been fine. For exampe, it feels like its in the right spot in the 98 and Knebworth gig setlist.

The hoops they made on that setlist just in 1997 alone are weird: September and October 1997: Magic Pie after D'You Know What I Mean, All Around The World the penultimate song on the setlist and October (Hammerstein Ballroom) adds Don't Go Away after Don't Look Back In Anger. November: Magic Pie and Don't Go Away are both included until the show in Hannover and Don't Go Away is dropped. All Around The World is moved up to after It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) as their set closer before the encore. 11/24/1997-11/28/1997: The setlist dos not include Don't Go Away but keeps Magic Pie. 12/3/1997-12/11/1997 (Bar Noel's Dublin Dates): The setlist now includes Cigarettes & Alcohol after Champagne Supernova, still keeping Magic Pie. GMEX: Magic Pie is dropped and Don't Go Away is added after Don't Look Back In Anger. Wembley Arena: Don't Go Away is dropped again. The setlist was always either 16 or 17 songs long, and Don't Go Away and Magic Pie became interchangeable, especially when Cigarettes & Alcohol made it's comeback.

Don't Go Away was originally planned to be the fourth UK single after AATW, so it's not surprising they were trying to work it into the set list for a bit, especially in November/December 1997. That obviously never happened and it became a single in Japan only. It was released as a radio single in the states, so that explains why it was played during the US leg of the tour.

It's at #5 in the album chart update today. Even though it's only Midweek that is impressive! Especially considering there is no new content with this release. I wonder if we'll get a recertification soon since the last one was in 1998. Thats what Id been thinking too. The previous reissue with the demos sold quite a bit and its been streamed a fair amount, especially Stand By Me since its resurgence. So I felt it must be near or at 7x platinum by now.

#6 on the UK chart. Very impressive given the lack of new material.
Time Flies 23 WTSMG 38 DM 74.

I do think it’s fucked how little we got.
Why even ‘celebrate’ BHN’s 25th, if it can’t be done properly. I haven’t been this let down since the second half of DOYS.

Was wondering if anyone could confirm if The Be Here Now red LP from Japan included any additional booklets or prints? looks a nice set and want to order, didn’t order any of the others.
Read as well it’s the sound source taken from the original press and 2009 issue and not the 2016 remastered version , anyone know anything re the sound ? Cheers

I'll check the BHN if it's included an additonal bookelets or prints as soon as they're arrived for you, carl. It costs me an another fortune, but probably the last major Oasis related purchase for me.

They come with a nice japanese booklet with all the lyrics in english with additional japanese translation along with some articles in japanese. All of them have the typical obi strip. The sound source is the 2016 remastered version for Be Here Now, 2014 remastered version for WTSMG&DM and the 2009 version for The Masterplan. But they were pressed in japan so it´s high quality vinyl with zero surface noise: from Sony Japan: The production process of this record has been done entirely within the Sony Music Group Japan, from production of the cutting master to the creation of the stamper and pressing, I´d buy it again, definitely
