True. But I think that at least all of the Oasis final line up Gem,Andy and Chris are doing something instead of being out of work. So it's better than nothing at all. Agreed.Β Glad to see them all doing well, especially Gem after all the problems he had. But to suggest the other members are more "successful" than in Beady Eye is absurd.Β Depends on the definition of success but I find it hard to believe that Gem and Chris wish the BE era back when they now can play better songs in front of bigger Crowds

Yeah, it's good to see them all doing well and I agree with you about Gem. I don't think that they're any more successful than what Beady Eye were but I don't think that Beady Eye failed completely though as they did have a little bit of success.

Depends on the definition of success but I find it hard to believe that Gem and Chris wish the BE era back when they now can play better songs in front of bigger Crowds Well i'd think that anyone would determine success by level of job and money made. Going from being actual members of a band and writing songs for albums with (despite what people say on here) fairly good sales for an Indie band compared to being touring musicians isn't more success. Then there's Andy who's got the same role in a band that don't even sell what Beady Eye do. So yet again i'm struggling to see how it is more successful. I think it just become cool to shit on Beady Eye from any angle, even without anything to back up these kind of claims.

I think it just become cool to shit on Beady Eye from any angle, even without anything to back up these kind of claims. We dont know how much money they made now versus then. Plus it is a mood discussion because neither Andy nor Gem nor Chris could decide. Liam decided to pull out, probably because he wasnt happy how beady eye were doing. And there are a couple of reasons why people "shit on Beady Eye" e.g. were critical on some aspects - shit management - overestimating their popularity/booking oversized venues and playing in front of half empty venues (especially in the US) - some of their songs were really god awful In the end, outside DGSS and the initial tour they only had moderate success. Yes, compared to other bands they still sold very well but compared to Oasis and Noel solo it wasn't good enough, otherwise Liam wouldnt have thrown the towel. Not sure why we need to be so touchy with Beady Eye. They made fundamental mistakes and therefore a pretty much an afterthought nowadays.

Andy may be selling less records but I'm not sure Ride sell less tickets than BE, and he's writing songs (and singing) in a critically acclaimed band (as opposed to Beady Eye) now, so I'm not sure I'd consider him less successful, and he was quite ready to jump ship at the time anyway so I'd say he agrees
Gem and Chris obviously have a lesser role, but they're playing with a bigger act and seem to be enjoying it, I'm sure they're paid well enough Chris has been a session musician for most of his career, so I don't see this as being demoted anyhow We could talk about Gem, as he's gone from writing songs to not even being in the studio for most of the stuff, but honestly I don't think songwriting is his thing at all, and seeing what he went through I'm just happy he's still working and having fun being on stage

Playing the small clubs/festivals that all the other indie bands with similar sized fanbases doesn't really indicate a lack of success, bigger names can just barely fill a 300 capacity venue.
They also get a fair bit of airplay/exposure through the right channels.

The post said they're all undeniably more successful, which just isnt true.

If I was a billionaire, I would give β¬200 million to have Beady Eye reformed.

Liam has had so much more success in a "solo" capacity, compared to the Beady Eye run. I love a few of their tracks, and it would be cool to hear some Beady Eye songs played at an OASIS reunion. Imagine that

Imagine that I want to see an Oasis reunion with solo tracks from both brothers as well as Beady Eye tracks. It would be great if Liam said to Noel "If I Had a Gun is a great tune" and Noel replied "I've always liked Four Letter Word and Millionaire."

Even though I liked Beady Eye I certainly don't want them to reform (not that they would anyway) and Liam's solo albums are so much better.

I'd love to see some sort of release with demos, unreleased tracks, ideas for the 3rd album, etc... at some point as a celebration of what Beady Eye was, but not a reunion.

I didn't keep up from 2005 onwards.

I would love some sort of a release with all of their demos too but I'm not sure if they had any ideas for the third album. But I doubt very much that we'll ever get a release though especially as Liam wants to forget his Beady Eye days.

I'm still shocked (but pleasantly surprised) Liam played The World's Not Set in Stone during his last tour at Cardiff 2019. It's a good tune. Maybe he will pull out Start Anew whenever he plays next.

I've always enjoyed World's Not Set In Stone and I too was surprised that Liam played it during his gig in Cardiff two years ago. But it was a shame that he dropped it so soon though.

It seems like the majority here would be up for it. π It just would be great for Beady Eye to show that the first time was affected by some bad luck and liamβs private issues Trolling... Trolling never change Just another example that thread was created by random clown who came to Live4ever just to troll this community. His deleted account absolutely proved that. What a clickbaiting idiot

I remember one of them tweeted back in 2013 a picture of a whiteboard that read "3rd album ideas" or something similar, I don't know if they demoed any songs but definitely there were plans about it.

Ok maybe he doesn't want to forget but sometimes when he talks about them he comes over like he does if you know what I mean. It's just the way he says things sometimes.

Did they? I didn't know about that Tweet so thanks for that. It's a shame that we never got to hear any of the ideas which they had because I would have loved to have heard them.

Good to read that Liam misses Andy, Gem and Chris though.
