No chat. Didn't even promote the online gig (you'd have to already know it was happening to realize that's what the video is from) but the clip looked great.

I like this version even better than the Jonathan Ross one. Beautiful. Can't wait to watch the rest tonight.

Is the boat gig really fiddled with or is it raw live? Listening to something that’s been tweaked loads takes the edge off for me tbh

Listening to something that’s been tweaked loads takes the edge off for me tbh I’d say it’s between a standard radio broadcast and For What it’s Worth from air studios. It’s no doubt had some tweaks but it isn’t distracting like the air studios takes.

I don't think that was 'live'
Maybe the musicianship and back-up singers, but Liam hit exactly the same notes in exactly the same way as he did in other 'live' performances. Either that, or they dubbed the performance from the boat onto the Jonathan Ross version.
Not really a massive concern to me like, it must be a very hard song to sing.
I'm gutted I'm missing the gig. Wish there was an option to purchase and watch at a different time. Hopefully it'll come out as a download some time soon.

Because the two performances couldn't sound more different, ffs he sung a completely different melody in the first seconds lol ("while the morning waits", completely different melodies). "Liam hit exactly the same notes in exactly the same way as he did in other 'live' performances" it's the same singer and the same song duh

Are we sure Liam and his band were even on a boat on the river? How do we know that they aren’t using that Volume technology Disney Plus uses for the Mandalorian? Liam could just be in a warehouse in Slough!

Liam could just be in a warehouse in Slough! If they can make a hologram of Tupac a few years back I’m sure they can do one of Liam and his band. I don’t believe that Liam has done a real live performance since he returned. Would explain how much better he’s been. I’ve Shazamed all of them.

People go on about oasis stateside legacy but they are known , they just never rode the mid 90s hype like they should’ve , wonderwall is massive I do wonder how many copies that’s sold in places like America , album update of sales would be good . Morning glory been stuck on same sales for 23 years , same as uk it’s been in top 100 last 5 years it seems yet sales never rise! The one thing would’ve loved to have seen oasis stadium tour in America Stadium tour? They did theaters mostly for MG. The arena tour of BHN sold extremely lackluster. They never tried that again outside MSG types as one offs. Was saying would’ve loved to have seen it happen not it happened ,the be here now wasn’t that lacklustre

When I saw them in NJ that January 1998 the arena did not seem full at all and that was technically their “NYC” gig.

Is it the Version we heard on BBC 2? sounds different to me It's different. The Jonathan Ross Show version has horns + Liam + piano + percussion in the beginning The BBC Radio 2 Live version has Liam + piano + percussion And the boat version is only Liam + piano. The percussion only comes in after "to keep the dark at bay", unlike the other two live versions. Guitars sound better, too. For me that's the smoothest and the best version so far, I don't know how much post-production was done, but it sounds very good.

When I saw them in NJ that January 1998 the arena did not seem full at all and that was technically their “NYC” gig. Their biggest North American gigs were their last two tours. They played amphitheaters and arenas in several cities. I.e.: MSG, Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks, Staples Center, etc. At this point they were probably more of a nostalgia act though...
