I mean he wrote the songs and it was just a 25-minute thing talking about the songs and how it was made. He says several times about how good Liam was at that point and the rest of the band. Liam and Bonehead had their interview a bit ago on the BBC show and while it was funny, it wasn't an insight into how the record was made because, as is highly documented, they spent most of the time getting pissed. That's not having a go at any of them. But this little thing was just a bit about the album coming together wasn't it? Liam doesn't have anything to do with Oasis' management anymore so it's no surprise he wasn't on it, as much as it would have been nice. Why are you always being defensive? What's the point of talking about the BBC show? I just said that I found it boring. Do we learn anything from this documentary? Maybe, just a few things. Is it interesting? To me, it's not. I'm not being defensive, I was just picking up on your point, which was entirely predictable (and will be from the same usual members). It's a 30-min doc - something to mark the anniversary. I'm not disagreeing that you could find it boring, that's your opinion. It's just that it boils back down to being a dig at Noel when all he's done is give an interview and walk around the studio a bit. I wish things were different, wish Liam could have been there too. But it isn't happening so it's better to have this than nothing else, surely.

Because Noel is not in that photo? He has other photos with Noel there, and has answered before that he's good with everybody. I don't think it's a coincidence that he uploaded this picture today.. Ha ha yeah, I went "Oh, damn" out loud when I saw it. And no, it's not that Noel's not in it (or Guigsy, for that matter). The point he's making is that Oasis wasn't just Noel. It's a pretty bold expression of his feelings from a guy who seemed to have permanently retired from the Oasis limelight until about eight months ago.

Happy Birthday everybody! Just gave it another listen and the only bad thing of MG I can think of is that I want it to keep going longer with those great songs. Cheers!

The Rockfield documentary was quite nice, I enjoyed watching Noel talking fondly about Oasis and the rest of the band. It was nothing groundbreaking but still better than what we got for the SOTSOG 20th anniversary (NOTHING).

Listening to the album right now, I almost did forget how great is "Hello". Liam sounds unreal on this one too.

Interesting, Tim Abbot said we might see more of the footage he filmed.

Noel tried sitting on a wall to record Wonderwall.
Makes you wonder.

Went back to this masterpiece today, here's my favourite moment on each song:
Hello: What a banger! Effortless tunes and such a charismatic feel overall. Favourite bit would be the way Liam lifts the melody on the second "nobody ever, SEEMS to remember...". Also love the wild, wobbling guitar lines Noel puts all over the track.
Roll With it: Lovely throwaway pop tune. Not the best song on the record but it has its moments - the best of which is the melancholic bridge with it's "I know the roads on which your life will drive...". Great backing vocals from the Chief, there, too.
Wonderwall: Well, this is impossible. Liam's vocals, the longing mellotrons, the feather-light drumming, the melody. It's all perfect. But I'm gonna give top prize to the opening twenty seconds. Just that guitar has become so emotive and legendary, it's still mysterious and iconic and grabs your ears from a million miles away. But Liam is top on this tune, too.
Don't Look Back in Anger: Those final two choruses. I know the outro's great, I love that drum fill too, the opening verse is perfection, but you know it has to be those final two choruses. Another level.
Hey Now: The way Liam sings the second verses. It's a beautiful melody already, but that delivery is hair-raising. I also love Noel's guitar tone throughout the song, has such a burned-out sunset feel that suits the track perfectly.
---: It's not really a moment, but just the way it makes me think of Liam walking out at dusk at Maine Road.
Some Might Say: I’ll give a shout-out to Owen Morris here – I adore the echo on Liam’s vocals when they sink back into the second set of verses. Gorgeous. This is the archetypal Oasis song all around, though. The wall of swirling guitar. The only voice that could cut through that wall. And it’s singing one delicious pop melody after the other. Pure Oasis.
Cast No Shadow: Got to be those harmonies on the “bound with all the weight” bit, hasn’t it? The best melting of the two brothers voices and sounds heavenly over the bass and pining guitars. Doesn’t hurt that they’re singing some of Noel’s best lyrics, either.
She’s Electric: I’m torn between the sweetness of Noel’s guitar lines in the verses, or the perfect singing from both brothers on the “And I waaaant you to know...” section. I’m gonna go with the guitars, though, they just sound so clean and bright and perfect.
Morning Glory: The intro. That searing riff, the helicopters, whatever samples are going on underneath it, even the little jamming guitars that are quite hard to pick out of the mix. By the time the drums start pounding, you already know it’s a tune.
---: Obviously, the way it transitions into...
Champagne Supernova: Every single second of it. Every single one. There’s not one instant of this song that isn’t genuinely, actually celestial. It feels like sunset and a spinning galaxy and drugs and pure perfection. But on this listen, I’m gonna pick out the bit after the second “why, why, why” where, instead of slipping back down like the first time, it kicks up into a mad blizzard of guitar. Like everything on this record, just so fucking perfect.

What’s the benefit of pre-ordering a physical copy of an Album? I’ve never had it arrive on the day of release
