Currently at 951 million. Still in top 200 daily charts on Spotify.
Also, Wonderwall is the most streamed song for its year (of all songs released that year) on Spotify and What's The Story Morning Glory is the most streamed album for the year too.

Nice. But it's not fair. More Oasis songs should be on that list. For many people Oasis is a "One hit wonder" band.

Move to Oasis section. With a Noel vocal Wonderwall wouldn't be a thing at all.

It's sad because that is how new generations are listening music today. It's all about singles, nobody give a shit about artists, albums, artwork... It's not like that this is bringing anything to Oasis, Britpop, rock music...it's not like that they are searching for other Oasis stuff after Wonderwall, other songs from that genre... They listen Wonderwall and then Dua Lipa or some shit.
Ok, Oasis earns money but that's it.

That thread reminds me of an Anthony Fantano video I've seen. It was on "the most annoying songs ever made", someone did bring "Wonderwall" and Fantano agreed and then said the song was basic and that it doesn't last more than a few listens. I feel like mister Fantano is in severe denial seeing these impressive figures.

Back then if you were a rock band people were buying your singles but the main sales were from albums. At the end, they were buying the album for the singles. Nowadays with streaming, you don't have to have the album, you can just press play on the song you want. I agree with you it's rather sad but I wouldn't only blame the young generation. My dad was born in 1970 and he never listens to albums. He doesn't see the point listening to "Sgt Pepper" in full when you could only listen to "A Day In The Life" and "With A Litle Help From My Friends".

Crazy, but ultimately disappointing that some of the tunes on Spotify's most streamed list are significantly worse than Wonderwall. Wonder what the likelihood is that Wonderwall will become number 1.

How many One Billion Streams songs does Coldplay have already? Looks to be just one and it's Chainsmokers song Something Just Like This. Honestly surprised they only have one.

Shame a tune like Listen Up has not even 1% of Wonderwall streams. Shows how "obscure" some Oasis tunes still are.

Btw, another thing that surprises me with "Wonderwall" success on streaming service is that it wasn't the biggest hit of its year. I think it didn't even sell 1 million copies in the States (the biggest market in the world), which is surprising.

It's actually more common than one would think; Don't Stop Me Now, Don't Stop Believing and Mr. Brightside (among numerous others) weren't that big upon their release, but their staying power put them among the most streamed catalogue songs of all time. Wonderwall is still outperforming mentioned songs, although Don't Stop Me Now will probably catch up soon.

There's so many great Oasis songs & it's a shame that many people only really know Wonderwall. I mean what about songs like Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova etc. To be honest I don't really use Sposify much & prefer Amazon Music. I'm not sure how many plays Wonderwall has got on there though.

Live Forever has over 100 millions plays, which blows my mind tbh.

But it's a shame that only certain Oasis songs are well known when there's so many other great ones.
