Could it just be a mixed version from the soundcheck? Sounds very similar.

First listen: it’s alright. B-side material. Doesn’t go anywhere. Yeah pretty much. A bit of a dead song tbh!

Shows the power of Oasis though that this is a big deal. ❤

And for the record, we have heard Oh Lord and it sucks - I can’t be arsed to find the direct quote I’m responding to. Sorry.

First Dylan drops two old songs. The the Stones come out with a new single. Now Oasis dust off an old demo.
Come on Apple - there's a famous band suspiciously missing from this list. Crank open that vault.

Soundcheck version is much more beautiful and ethereal. Much like God Help Us All and Stop the Clocks

love it
but wrong to have the first Oasis song in 10 years sung by Noel just like those re-issues - so many Noel acoustic, a SHAME.

A "new" Oasis release… the first one since 2009?! I feel like a kid again.

I don't really like him releasing this under the Oasis name.
I suppose it's better than calling it a High Flying Birds track, but it doesn't quite sit right with me.

This is ok, nothing more. We appreciate it because we love the Noel songwriting sound he's churned out for decades, but this is hardly anything earth-shattering. Would have been a nice addition to an Oasis Anthology set tho.

The alternative is to release it under Noel Gallagher. I don't think he has done solo releases under his name(other than The Dreams We Have As Children, That's it). Fits under Oasis in a Lost Tracks/Unheard Gems playlist

I'm hearing a lot arguments against but not many alternatives. What name is he supposed to release it under? I'm genuinely curious.

It's a demo, but not just Noel with a acoustic guitar. Released as an Oasis song
Why is the Oasis logo not the classic logo? Same Oasis logo as on the Columbia white label demo - the first ever release and potentially final release share the same logo!

Or Step Out.

I like it Ya, I wish Liam was singing the verses and like all of the soundcheck songs the immediacy of the melody isnt there and the good stuff has been exposed for a decade but it's a good demo. I liked it on first play and liked it more the fourth time around. Probably a good sign. Heck, just wanting to play it consecutively four times is a huge point in the right direction. Dont recall that happening with Evil Flower 😉
One question: Is this the song he wrote for Anais that he promised would never see the light all those years ago?

It could have been a good bside with a proper production, tbh, why not. But Noel decided remixes were better (and cheaper ?)
