Nice to hear it. Probably won't revisit it much. After some beers tonight it could be mega though

As this is an oasis release why isn’t this thread in the oasis section?

I've never been a fan who goes nuts over Noel's soundcheck songs. The ones we were lucky enough to hear over the last 15 years of the YouTube era were always just ok to me with maybe the exception of that fiery version of "A Simple Game of Genius". - God Help Us All - Don't Stop - If I Had A Gun - A Simple Game of Genius - The Dying of The Light In the end they all just came out ok, nothing Earth shattering but I'm happy to have them all. Glad "Don't Stop" didn't end up on the next Noel album. Only forward progress for me. This. Would be glad if he just put out all these kinds of demos - extra content for the fans but songs that are way too unremarkable for an official release.

Me too, think it's superb on the first listen. Avoided the soundcheck so it's all new to me And imagine Liam singing it as well 😯😀 My god, I miss my band. I miss Oasis.

My god, I miss my band. I miss Oasis. I love their solo careers, both of them, but THIS.

Moreover, most of the time, if something hasn't been released or has been kicking around for a while... there's a reason.

Badged as Oasis to increase streaming revenue, no doubt.
It's alright.

Three of them are fucking great! If I'm being honest I was let down by ASGOG. It sounded so outrageous in the soundcheck, like Neil Young & Crazy Horse vibes with extended guitar solos and jamming. None of that is there on the studio version and its much much shorter. Didn't really think IIHAG or TDOTL would turn out much different than what we heard prior and I was right. They were just ok songs to me. Never dug the "Ahhhhhh Ahhhhhhh Ahhhhhhhs" in IIHAG. Thought it was just a placeholder. Nope!

It would be cool if they released a 12" (or even 7") vinyl disc of this up tomorrow. They would have probably but more effort into the artwork if we were going to get a physical release.

Doesn't have the magic of the soundcheck. It could have been developed into something really great. Oh well...

Still waiting for a collector to make a nice present to the Oasis fandom and release it...

If they think this song will generate interest in Oasis, then I fear it will be counterproductive because it's dull as dishwater!
It's a nice treat for fans but what would be really cool would be for Noel to dump all these demos he has no intentions of doing anything with and just releasing them for streaming purposes. A bit like what Aphex Twin does.

The artwork makes me think of SOTSOG. ...without that hideous "new" Oasis logo from the SOTSOG/HC era. I kind of like that he went back to the pre-Decca logo Union Jack swirl font/style for the word Oasis. Not sure if that was on purpose or just the font that they had on the computer of whomever threw this together last night at 10 PM.

Doesn't have the magic of the soundcheck. It could have been developed into something really great. Oh well... True, but when do they ever? He was right when he was talking about singing songs at soundchecks sounding more natural, that you're now performing, just singing. By the way, I hope he was joking about finding this on an unmarked CD. I sure hope his archive is in a better state than that.
